WHAT YOU NEED
- Paper of five coordinating colors - some dark, some bright and pinks
- Stencils
- Glue
- Non-smear pastels
- Glitter
- Brads and beads
- Vellum paper or Happy Birthday Stickers
1. Use a background sheet of paper in a darker color. Then use a second sheet of paper in a bright color. Tear the second sheet in half to get a torn look along the edge. Glue this down on top of background paper.
2. Use your favorite stencils and place on top of torn paper. Color with non-smear pastels. Remember to blend colors for a watercolor look. Do this twice down the page.
3. Take a piece of pink paper and layer it with another color underneath that matches all papers used in layout. Place stencil on top of pink paper and color with non-smear pastels.
4. After coloring, add glitter to the stencils you made along the page. Use any glue to adhere glitter. Glue on the third birthday stencil paper layout to the torn paper on the bottom.
5. Add brads for decoration in all four corners.
6. Print out a happy birthday saying on vellum paper. Add beads and glitter to vellum. Place vellum behind a colored paper so it stands out on your page. Glue down at an angle on page layout. Add brads to ends for decoration.
7. Next layer two pieces of different color paper for your happy birthday picture. Glue down all papers and place picture on top. Then glue down picture.
8. Add embellishments to decorate. You can place them in a row above birthday picture for a fun look. Use any type of glue or adhesive.
9. You can also use brads to give this page a party look.
