children's shoe sizing guide

Kids deserve to have happy feet, which means finding shoes that fit well and feel great. Guarantee the proper fit with these easy-to-use, self-measuring directions, shoe size conversation charts and printout shoe sizers.

To determine your child's U.S., U.K., or European shoe size:

  1. Use a ruler or tape measure to measure your child's foot (from the heel to the tip of his or her longest toe), or use the printer-friendly size charts below.
  2. Choose a table (U.S., U.K., or European).
  3. Find the closest measurement, in inches, that is equal to or greater than the length of your child’s foot. For example, a child whose foot measures 7 1/2 inches is a U.S. 13, a U.K. 13, or a European 32.
  4. Measure both feet, and if the sizes differ, choose the larger of the two.

Measuring Tips:

  • For an accurate measurement, flatten the child's foot by shifting his/her weight forward.
  • If the measurement is between two sizes, always choose the larger size.
  • Be sure to measure both feet and buy shoes in the larger size
