Q: Why isn't my no!no! turning on?
A: You may have to recharge your battery.
Q: When should I charge my no!no!?
A: You will need to fully charge your no!no! prior to first use. Do not use your no!no! until the unit is fully charged. Charging it completely takes 4 to 6 hours. Your no!no! is fully charged when all 3 bars on the battery icon are fully illuminated.
Check your status screen. Recharging is necessary when the empty battery icon is visible and the red signal light flickers.
Q: Can I use no!no! while it is charging?
A: After the initial charge, you may use no!no! while it is plugged in.
Q: What preparation is necessary before I use no!no!?
A: Simply make sure your skin is completely clean and dry before you begin your beauty treatment.
Q: How often should I no!no!?
A: We recommend you use no!no! 2 to 3 times a week for the first 4 to 6 weeks. After that, use only when necessary.
Q: Does it hurt?
A:There is virtually no pain when no!no! is used as directed. With the new no!no! 8800 Series/8810 Series, you can adjust settings to your personal comfort level.
Q: Where can I use the new no!no! 8800 Series/8810 Series, and how do I know which Thermicon™ Tips to use?
A: You can use the new no!no! 8800 Series/8810 Series everywhere except the breast and genitals. The skin in those areas is very sensitive and is not appropriate for a no!no! beauty treatment.
- Thermicon™ Wide Tips - for large, flat areas like the legs, arms, back and chest
- Thermicon™ Narrow Tips – for small, curved and sensitive areas (like the underarms, knees, elbows and bikini line).
Q: How do I do a no!no! beauty treatment?
A: Simply glide no!no! across your skin in a smooth, even motion. Go against the grain of hair growth and glide inward, toward your body.
Q: What do I do if no!no! does not start when I glide it on my skin?
A: Check the On/Off button on the top of your no!no! If the Status Screen is showing, it is "on". If it is turned on properly and still does not start, check the Thermicon™ Tip status from the Status Screen. You probably need to replace the Thermicon™ Tip.
Q: Not all of my hair is removed after one pass. What should I do?
A: You may need to go over certain areas a few times to catch every hair. But don't overdo it. After 3 to 4 passes, take a break and work somewhere else. After your skin has had a few minutes to rest, return to that area to finish the job. When first starting, some people use a razor after a no!no! beauty treatment to further remove the hair. After a short time, this should no longer be necessary.
Q: Why do I still have some stubble?
A: Everyone is different. no!no! can take up to 8 weeks to deliver maximum beauty benefits. There are some things you can do to improve the success of each no!no! beauty treatment.
- Check hair length. Hair should be approx. 1-3 mm long (around stubble length). If hair is too long or too short, the thermal signal will not be delivered properly.
- Buff after each section. Buffing is an extremely important step in the no!no! process. It removes the crystallized hair and exfoliates the skin to help achieve a smooth, polished finish.
- Use a cream or lotion after each beauty treatment to help moisturize the skin and help remove stubble.
- If you have coarse hair (that means guys, too) or hair that grows back quickly, you may need another option. For you, it may be best to lightly shave AFTER use, just to get rid of the stubble. DO NOT shave BEFORE use. You may need to do this for the first several beauty treatments. For most users, the need to shave will lessen and you will only need the buffer to get that polished look.
Q: What do I do if the red light turns on during a beauty treatment?
A: The red light will turn on if you are not using the no! no! properly. This is a built-in safeguard to ensure proper use. Turn the unit off and then on again. Begin using the device again, making sure you glide in one smooth, non-stop motion. Please read the section in the Quick Start Guide concerning the Thermicon Tip Status Indicator for further instruction
Q: Why do I detect an unpleasant odor?
A: no!no! uses Thermicon™, a heat-based technology. The pungent scent lets you know that no!no! is removing hair. With continued use of the no!no! beauty treatment in the same root area, you will notice a reduction in hair re-growth. The smell will also lessen.
Q: What can I do about the odor?
A:After you finish your no!no! beauty treatment, you can shower and use a non-astringent moisturizer like no!no! After Treatment Cream to remove the odor
Q: What do I do if the red light turns on and won't turn off?
A: Check your Thermicon™ Tip status on the Status Screen. You probably need to replace the Thermicon™ Tip.
Q: How do I know which Thermicon™ tip I should use?
A: Use the standard Thermicon™ Tips that come with your no!no! for large, flat areas like the legs, arms, back and chest. Use the narrow Thermicon™ Tips (compatible only with the no!no! 8800 series) for help removing hair in small, curved and sensitive areas (like the underarms, knees, elbows and bikini line).
A: Replace the tip:
- When the status screen for the Thermicon™ Tips is blank
- When the Thermicon™ Tip icon flickers
- When the signal light turns red
- If you notice that it is no longer working efficiently
- If the wire is damaged in any way
Q: What is the best way to address facial hair?
A: The Thermicon Narrow tips are intended for small, curved and sensitive areas such as the face. Use as follows:
- Start with the lowest beauty treatment level.
- Raise the level until you reach the highest level without feeling uncomfortable.
- Hold the area tight to make sure no!no! is in contact with your skin.
- Press lightly against the skin.
- Avoid excess pressure.
Q: How do I address curved areas like the elbows, knees and underarms?
A: When you glide over those areas, follow the natural curve of the body. You might need to hold the area tight to make sure no!no! is in contact with your skin.
Q: Why do I need to buff?
A: Buffing is an essential part of the no!no! beauty treatment. It exfoliates the skin and removes crystallized hair for a smooth finish.
Q: How should I buff my face?
A: Use the small enclosed Buffer and make sure it is clean and fresh. Buff lightly against the skin. Avoid excess pressure.
Q: I would prefer not to use the Buffer on my face. What should I do instead?
A: If you choose not to use the Buffer, use an exfoliating cream to remove crystallized hair.
Q: When should I start to notice the long-term effects?
A: The average period is between 4 to 6 weeks. Some people start to notice the effects after just a few beauty treatments. For others, it may take up to 2 months.
Q: How long is the warranty and what does it cover?
A: Your no!no! warranty lasts for one year on parts and service only.
