South Street Loft Calming Weighted Blanket

Purchased this blanket because of my insomnia problem (long standing). I read many good things about using a weighted blanket and wanted one but most are very expensive. I saw this one, very affordable, and decided to try it. It is heavy - I am 140 pounds and it does say that 15 pounds is for people 150 pounds or more. But it really works! I use it shoulder to toes and fall asleep quickly. I sleep well for 4-5 hours and once I wake, I remove it and then sleep another hour or two. Try it and see!

Item is as described. I ordered the 18lb version, but I wish I would have gotten the 12 lb size instead (in the middle of the night it is hard to readjust the weight after getting up and going back to bed). However, there was only 4 stars given because it should have come with a washable cover.

I had no idea what this would be like, I wanted 1 bad, had held different weights of blankets. Still I didn't know which 1 I needed. I got a Queen size & loved the color the way it was made. I love it but as it gets warmer I had to put it aside & I miss it. mine is 20LBS., its a workout to make the bed LOL.

Great purchase. One must try to keep in mind what 20 pounds is before purchasing. Also, the fill weight listed on the tag is not at the mark exactly as you have to take in account the weight of the material as well. Weighted blankets are to be used like a swaddle. It keeps you still and calm, its not something you roll around in all night. I keep mine laid flat on my bed and fold it over me when in use.

Great, soft blanket. I got two of these as gifts for our daughters. I just wish I could wash them. Cleaning is spot cleaning only.

I decided to purchase the 20 lb weighted blanket. I bought in the hope it would help my anxiety and insomnia at night. I typically can only sleep for 5 hrs on average but when I used my blanket last night I was able to sleep for 7 hrs. So far so good. Only wish this was washable.

I got the 15 lb. blanket to replace one that had shifted all the beads to the four corners over time. I thought this one would be better because I can see two rows of stitching throughout the squares. However, upon receiving and inspecting, the stitch used seems rather large, so I'm afraid I will have the same issue with the beads shifting. We'll see. I would definitely recommend ordering the matching duvet cover for this because these weighted blankets are hard to wash.
