Rarities Gold-Plated Diamond Huggie Hoop Earrings

I wanted a diamond huggie hoop earring that I could wear everyday. I bought the 1/4 ctw white and they are just right for me. Yes, the diamonds are small, but I knew they would be; however, they sparkle, good closure. Just enough notice and look for wearing during the day. I priced online a 1/4 ctw white diamond with 10K gold (not gold plating) and the range is $500-650. I am not prepared to pay that for an earring. Should I lose one of these I would be disappointed, but not heartbroken.
