Curtis Stone 2-piece Gravity Mill

one mill worked fine when used for a pepper grinder. the one used for salt did not work. I used specific salt sold for grinders. the mill also heated up when all batteries were in and I changed them out twice with new batteries. unfortunately I cannot return due to past expiration date for returns.it is a big disappointment.

These might work well but the 6 batteries are too much.

These mills grind salt and pepper very well, but the mills have some significant design flaws. For one, they eat batteries like crazy; you need 6 batteries to start with and I wore out good batteries in just a couple weeks cooking for just me. The biggest flaw though is that the spices get into the inner compartment where the batteries are, so the one I had salt in got salt all over the batteries, which of course started to react with the terminals.

each one of these takes 6 AAA batteries.. i am sending them back. i will go broke buying batteries. i think they should make this rechargeable. it is the way to go. i will buy them again when they do this.

I was adjusting the grind with the little silver button on top and it slipped off and ran away, never to be seen again. After months I've lost hope. Any ideas of how to help me solve this delimma??? Seems if they come off so easily they should come with a spare button. I miss using them. They, along with the many other Curtis products I've purchased over the years have made cooking a joy. I'm sad about my mills, tho. First time I've ever had less than 4-5 stars on Mr. Stone's products.

I was very disappointed with the lack of technology. In order for this to work it requires 6 AA batteries X2 , 12 total for this to work. No USB charger to recharge. Suggest to remove batteries when not in use.Item was returned.

When I ordered I thought it took 3 batteries each, when I received it, it takes 6 batteries each. I didn't even try them as I thought the batteries required were too many. Disappointed as I have been looking at these for some time, and they came on sale, so that was a good opportunity to order. I returned the product unused.

Need to come out with rechargeable Gravity Mill. Takes to many batteries and have to change them all the time. I also found the pepper and salt when I change the batteries, so I have to cleaned where the batties go in.

Hi,Although it is as defined, if I knew I had to add all these batteries I never would have purchased it.

I've had several sets of spice grinders and normally love them. however these were too unattractive to put on my dining table they were set back.

After a couple of uses the bottom fell out have no idea where it was will never buy that product again!!!

Opening this to put is batteries is a real chore. I cut my hand trying to open. People with dexterity issues will never be able to open this. I hope that it works well, too costly to send back

I called HSN and told them I just received one mill so the representative told me I received what I ordered. Two piece mill the top part and the bottom part but the order and presentation shown two mills not just one. The representative of HSN made me feel like I was stupid person. I kept telling him I just received the one mill and he kept telling it states a two piece mill a top and bottom. Oh well, HSN you can have your Curtis Stone mill back, Remember the customer is right period.

I love and own many Curtis Stone products. I was excited when these arrived; filled them up; started to grind away. Results - only coarse, inconsistent grounds. Also had a hard time keeping the mill together.

I was so excited to receive these and not have to manually grind the salt and pepper. It did not grind them like it should even on fine. Not impressed at all. I love Curtis Stone products otherwise.
