Kitchen HQ Automatic Smooth Edge Can Opener

I gave this as a gift. After opening to install batteries, it will not snap closed. Im so disappointed and embarrassed that it appears I purchased a broken item Any suggestions??

I received a lemon. Does not open any cans. I followed the instructions and watched the video several times. I tried opening several cans and it did not open.

This only worked occasionally and finally after 3 months. Buyer beware.

So far the can opener works fine though I've only used perhaps 4 times. However last time I used it I put it on the counter and saw something drop, I thought it was just a piece of paper. I handled this appropriately, no drops, no bangs, it is kept separately in a drawer. What had fallen off was the little plastic clip that closes the battery area. So I have a nice can opener with duct tape - duct tape, the universal fix all ... UGH! I've had this item too long to return. Quality???

I tried using the Kitchen HQ Can Opener and it opened a few cans. However, trying to use it to open other can goods, it didn't open the cans. I went back to using my nice stainless-steel Cuisinart Deluxe Can opener.

Put new batteries will not open cans works if its not on a can

Used once to open the large can of green beans. Went to use it the next time, it would not engage against the can. This is the second one that I have ordered. On air they said it would open any size can.

This can opener is cheaply made and does NOT work. It is absolutely, 100% defective. Could not even open a small can of tuna! And don't get me started on the on/off button! Ha~ The thing just kept running. Returning for a refund bc of its inability to do its only job. If all HSN's Brand, Kitchen HQ is anything like this, I will not be trying any other item from them.

I received my can opener Defective ! It does Not work so I'm waiting for a replacement ! I'll review it when I get it...D Brady

The Kitchen HQ smooth edge can opener left small hairlike pieces of metal on top of the can after it finished cutting. This is my first time using something like this. In my opinion, this is worse than the old fashion handheld can openers.

Please HSN what a joke that is.I try for over one hour to open a jar.I will continue to use my old can opener.

Would not hook on did not like it

Does not work well. I used 2 different types of cans. It was a struggle trying to open. I finally had to use another can opener. It is not easy at all! I am returning and should not have to paid to return an item that is not what it should be.
