I notice the great quality of this pressure cooker and loved the color availability. This is such a far cry from the grandparents pressure cooker. I once had a friend that was hit with the top that flew off the old pressure cooker in a chili cook-off. After she was taken to the hospital, I never had a thought into a direction of purchase until now. Thank you. It is nice

  • Awesome so far

I tired another brand from HSN that died almost immediately and was returned. I can tell the difference in quality of this WP pressure cooker. Pressure cooking is all about knowing time and I like the fact that is has the dial as opposed to pre-set buttons that may or may no be correct and I don't have to bend down to read each one. This also seems more durable and the lid is very easy to clean inside. It's a little bigger than I would have liked but for the price I'm happy about having the extra size for making broths and sauces. There is a decent time chart in the book that comes with it and PLENTY of cook times, and recipes, available online for free. I found a good spot in my kitchen to store the lid when it's not in use as it says in the directions so to not ruin the sealing ring. Things do stick to the 'non-stick" pot but so far it cleans up ok

  • love it

Exactly what I wanted. I remember being afraid of my mom's old stovetop Presto cooker when I was young. It used to spit little drops of water everywhere. She made us leave the kitchen before she lifted the little regulator off the top to release the pressure. This is SO MUCH better. It makes very little, if any, noise and everything I've made has come out perfect. It heats up and comes to pressure within 15 minutes, I've not had a bit of trouble with the timer, and it drops pressure very quickly when time is up. I've let it drops naturally one time and used the turn valve the other times, very pleased with both ways. My only objection is it's rather larger than I thought it would be, so it has to be stored in the guest room closet. It's not heavy, so I 'am able to get it out easily when I need it, but if your kitchen is tiny, or you don't have an alternate space for storage, you may want to consider a smaller unit.
