Today's Gladiolus (or simply 'glads' as they are quite often called) are more beautiful than varieties of years ago and produce lush sword like foliage. They appreciate the warm weather of summer and are very easy to plant and grow. Gladiolus come in a wide selection of classic colors as well as the newest bi-colors or tricolors. The mixture is a bit like a box of chocolates, as you never know what you are going to get.

After the danger of frost has passed, you can plant them all at once, or plant them bi-weekly for continuous flowers throughout summer.
They are best planted in groups and make for excellent lavish florist quality cut flowers.
As this is a true Gladiolus mixture, no two packs are exactly the same.
Purchase several packs to plant in mass sweeps and collect as many varieties as possible.
Staking may be required.
In more northern zones, dig up the corms (bulbs) after the season, remove soil, dry and store the bulbs indoors until next season.
