Van Zyverden Giant Cannas Bengal Tiger Set of Bulbs
Genus name comes from the Greek word Kanna meaning "reed". Cannas are among the most colorful summer bulbs with ruffled spikes tapering to refined buds, boasting immense, paddle shaped leaves. Their great reedy canes and palmy foliage make for large, magnificent plants, yielding blooms all summer long for long lasting curb appeal. They are deer resistant and appear most dramatic when grouped in masses. They are fast growers with large flowers. Canna Bengal Tiger is a hybrid cultivar which features medium green leaves with yellow-striped veins. Its orange flowers appear atop purple tinted stems. While the 3" across flowers are justification enough to plant these beauties, its spectacular variegated foliage provide enough ornamental interest on their own. An accent showstopper in the garden. Synonymous with 'Striata' and 'Malawiensis Variegata.'
