- Easy-to-use self-gripping rollers
- Creates long-lasting soft waves and gentle curls
- Creates volume at the root
- Transfers heat evenly and reliably to your hair, creating lasting volume, superb body and shine
How to Use
- Start with dry hair or spritz your hair with Tamed Flexible Finishing Mist for a longer lasting set. It's best to run a brush or comb through each section to eliminate any tangles before you start.
- Start rolling away from your face at the top of your head in a mohawk pattern with the last roller ending at your nape.
- Hold each section of hair straight up keeping a constant tension on it, run the roller to the ends and then roll it down towards your scalp. Your section should be about the size of the roller (make sure it's not wider, this will keep your sections cleaner and your curls more voluminous).
- After the top section is rolled continue by rolling each side of the head from your temples away from your face until all the hair is rolled.
- Now that the rollers are firmly in place it's time to heat things up. Use your blow dryer with a diffuser attachment that came with your hair dryer. This will give you the heat you need without all the air since there is no need to blow the hair all over the place. Another trick would be to direct the heat through the inside of the rollers and warm them up to help set the volume and curl you are after.
- After the heat treatment, it's time to let things cool down. Ideally you want to give the rollers at least 10 minutes to cool down and set although some will go about putting on their makeup, driving to work etc.. leaving them in even longer. You can play around with the timing to see what works best with your hair and your desired result. The general rule of thumb is the longer you leave the rollers to set the better.
- Remove the rollers and enjoy the curls.
- Start by removing the rollers from the bottom working your way up to the top. Use your fingers to gently rake the various sections of hair together. You can also use your fingers to merge segments back together and encourage curl formation or use your favourite paddle brush to create a more controlled yet voluminous style.
