    Good but...

The air fryer worked fine but it was just too small. There are 3 people in my household and I could barely fit enough food on the cooking surface for 2 people. I think it's best for 1 person. The presentation was a little deceiving. It made delicious fries though. I had to return it and get the bigger Ninja. Also, it talks about using less oil for cooking, but it suggests putting oil on some foods prior to cooking.

    The Truth

This machine is the truth, I don't foresee myself deep frying anything any time soon. There were many complaints that some buyers suffered because their food tasted like some type of plastic. Yes, this would be true if you took it right out of the box and started cooking like you have had it for a while. The best thing I can tell you is to NOT do that. I turned it on max and let it cook empty for 10min. I did that a few times. I have no problem with funny-tasting food. Just trust me!

    Performance is a 10 star..but

Rating of 3 is due to a completely poor user manual telling how and when to use each function. The actual trial and error results gives this a 5 star review. The menu selection for recipes on Ninja/Shark website is frustrating and the opposite of user friendly. If you spend a lot time watching air fryer videos on you tube - you will be able to become somewhat proficient. After a BIG learning curve, the results in the food cooked is truly amazing. This fryer is excellent despite itself.
