  • Features a true mix of at least 5 different varieties of Hosta
  • Incredibly popular perennial for shady areas that are great for planting at the base of trees
  • Looks beautiful paired with Coral Bells, Astilbe or Bleeding Hearts
  • Attracts hummingbirds for prime summer bird-watching
  • Prefer partial to full shade (no more than 4 to 6 hours of direct sunlight) and moist, organic soil
  • These plants will tolerate morning sun, but not afternoon sun

Planting instructions
  • Before planting, soak roots in water for 4 to 6 hours
  • If you cannot plant Hosta immediately after receiving, place them in a cool, shady location; a refrigerator vegetable drawer is best
  • Dig planting holes approximately 8 to 10 inches deep, and work the soil into a good, loose condition
  • Add a mixture of good garden soil and compost to the hole
  • Make a mound in the center of each hole and spread the roots around the mound
  • The crown of the plant should be placed at ground level; your plant should not be placed deeper than where the crown and root join
  • Fill hole and firm the soil, ensuring there are no air pockets
  • Cover with mulch to control weeds and retain moisture
  • Water well

Continuing care
  • Require moisture when newly set so that they can grow a new root system
  • Water every 3 to 4 days for the first 2 weeks
  • Your plant requires at least 1" of rainfall (or equivalent watering) each week when in the ground
  • Water at fairly long intervals in dry summer months

Winterizing instructions
