Features

3-pack Foxglove collection
  • Beautiful planted along fences, at the woods' edge or in large containers
  • Great for planting in areas that are fully exposed to the sun
  • "Candy Mountain" Foxglove produces rose pink, upward-facing blossoms with speckled throats on strong upright stems. Flowers are flanked by large rosettes of green, downy, oblong leaves.
  • "Sugar Plum" Foxglove features tall spires of pink flowers that are heavily speckled and boast dark purple throats. Spires are surrounded by large rosettes of downy leaves.
  • "Dalmatian Peach" Foxglove creates pinkish peach flowers that lighten to soft peach. These blossoms have tiny orange, speckled throats. Its basal foliage forms a compact clump.
  • Attracts hummingbirds and bees
  • Deer- and rabbit-resistant

Planting instructions
  • The soil where you plan to plant your foxglove should be worked into a good loose condition to a depth of 8" to 10"
  • In the hole, incorporate a mixture of compost, good garden soil, peat moss, sand or well-rotted manure (whatever is available for a good loose growing medium)
  • Remove plants from pots and plant level with soil
  • Your plants should not be placed deeper than where the foliage and root join
  • Fill hole, make sure there are no air pockets, firm the soil and water well
  • Foxglove should be spaced 1' to 2' apart from each other on each side
  • Cover with mulch to control weeds and retain moisture. Do not mound the mulch onto the stem.

Continuing care
  • Water every 3 to 4 days for the first 2 weeks
  • Plants require at least 1" of rainfall per week (or equivalent watering)
  • Newly set plants need moisture so they can grow a new root system. Plants should be kept moist, but not saturated, the entire time they are grown. More watering is needed during dry spells and the hot summer months. Fertilize in early spring.
