Crown Imperial Set
  • Statuesque, 3' to 4' plants offer leafy and exotic foliage that plays host to a head composed of dropping bell florets, topped by a namesake green crown
The Crown Imperial is part of the extensive Fritillary family and is native to mountainous regions of Turkey
  • It really is a border plant with presence that is hard to ignore
  • Deer and rabbit resistant

Planting Instructions
  • Space bulbs by 12" apart, when growing in the open ground
  • Dig a hole wide and deep enough for your bulbs and remove any larger stones and weeds. In sandy and clay soils, mix in some organic matter to improve the dirt
  • Avoid shallow planting, as this can sometimes inhibit flowering
  • As a guide, plant your bulbs 12" deep. Place the bulbs into the hole with the shoot facing upwards. Replace the soil around the bulbs, and avoid the area so you don't disturb the bulbs.

Continuing Care
  • Don't water your bulbs much until you see shoots in the spring
  • However, when spring arrives, mulch your plants with some fresh dirt and start feeding

Feeding Instructions
  • When in active growth, water regularly and feed with a general liquid fertilizer every 2 weeks to boost flowering performance

Winterizing Instructions
  • Bulbs are hardy and will not need any special winter care
