Overview & Details

Jay King Wagyl Stone and Turquoise 18-3/4" Sterling Silver Necklace
Looking for something a little out of the ordinary? Wagyl stone from Australia looks like luscious, swirled caramel—its golden hues varying from light to dark. Paired with beautiful Andean Blue turquoise from Chile, this big, bold necklace silhouette will make an absolutely decadent addition to your jewelry collection!

Design Information

  • Necklace drape has five rectangular, brown and white Wagyl stone stations in graduated profile
  • Stations divided by turquoise bars and smaller, round and rondelle-shaped wagyl stone beads
  • Round, wagyl stone beads complete necklace

Good to Know

  • A portion of the stringing material on this necklace is purposely exposed to provide flexibility and strength, to allow the beads to move freely, and to let you coil the necklace for storage. Stringing the piece too tightly could result in damage to the cording or the beads.
  • Moisture, skin oils and environmental factors can change the color of turquoise jewelry if left untreated. But stabilizing turquoise helps preserve the stone's normal color. Natural, mined turquoise nuggets are heated at a very low temperature for about a week, slowly drawing out moisture without damaging the texture. The stones are then placed into acrylic or polymer chemicals to replace water molecules. This stabilizes the stone and keeps its beauty and value intact.

  • This piece is strung with Soft Flex — a flexible beading wire that helps improve the strength, durability and longevity of the jewelry design.

  • Due to the composition and natural properties of mined gemstones, the product image may show slight differences to the actual stone in color saturation, tone, hue or other gemstone characteristics such as phenomena, color banding and color matrix.

  • Gemstones and pearls are sometimes treated to enhance their natural beauty. To learn more and find out about care instructions see details.

  • A Keeper

I knew I had to have this the minute I saw it. the colors go so well together. i'm not real sure how to pronounce the name of the large stones but I think about wiggle and then say Wagyl. ha! it's just a beautiful necklace and will go with almost everything. I'm sure it will be a favorite.

  • Aussie cultural museum piece (I could almost eat!)

I could almost taste the caramel and toffee colors that swirled in each Wagyl stone! The vertical turquoise stations literally "popped", making this beautiful Australian beauty a special piece in my over 3,000 pieces of jewelry collected in my 22 years of U.S. Navy active duty career! If you love amber jewelry, you will adore this "spin off" that has a character of its own! (The name is perfect!)

  • Jury is still out

This necklace is unique, and lightweight. I like the variation of colors in the Wagyl stone, but not really loving it as a whole. So I will see if I will be returning it.
