Overview & Details

Jay King Tyrone Turquoise and Lapis Pendant with 18" Necklace
Don't be surprised if you fall under the spell of this enchanting, hexagon-shaped pendant and textured turquoise necklace. Part of Jay's Gallery Collection, this intriguing pendant pairs geometric pieces of Tyrone turquoise from New Mexico with lovely blue lapis from Afghanistan. Worn together or separately, each piece is an individual work of wearable art!

Design Information

  • Hexagon-shaped sterling silver pendant has 6-sided, faceted blue lapis at center surrounded by 6 trapezoid-shaped turquoise stones
  • All stones bezel-set into silver base
  • Comes with necklace of turquoise chips with round, faceted lapis bead accents

Good to Know

  • A portion of the stringing material on this necklace is purposely exposed to provide flexibility and strength, to allow the beads to move freely, and to let you coil the necklace for storage. Stringing the piece too tightly could result in damage to the cording or the beads.
  • Moisture, skin oils and environmental factors can change the color of turquoise jewelry if left untreated. But stabilizing turquoise helps preserve the stone's normal color. Natural, mined turquoise nuggets are heated at a very low temperature for about a week, slowly drawing out moisture without damaging the texture. The stones are then placed into acrylic or polymer chemicals to replace water molecules. This stabilizes the stone and keeps its beauty and value intact.

  • This piece is strung with Soft Flex — a flexible beading wire that helps improve the strength, durability and longevity of the jewelry design.

  • Due to the composition and natural properties of mined gemstones, the product image may show slight differences to the actual stone in color saturation, tone, hue or other gemstone characteristics such as phenomena, color banding and color matrix.

  • Gemstones and pearls are sometimes treated to enhance their natural beauty. To learn more and find out about care instructions see details.

  • Concept Needs Review

Wonderful turquoise necklace, but why can't I buy the necklace separate from the pendant which I don't like. The Lapis has a white spot in it, the design is pedestrian, and the back is plain silver. It should have a dynamic traditional design reflecting the Mine Find at this price point and a turquoise nugget at the center on the back. If this stuff can be pumped out, so can 20-40mm beads in dynamic necklaces and bracelets and some great bolo ties. Women wear them as well you know. Will ret.
