  • Matches a pendant from yars ago

This has nice flashes of red and gold in it. I've been looking for a ring to wear with a pendant of Jay's that I bought several years ago. I bought one on ebay that looked good online but looked like a piece of coal in person! I'm pleased with one.

  • No Bronze Rutile

Sadly, this is the 3rd attempt I have made to get a REAL Astrophylite ring. The host said that it was very high quality ! Wrong! Instead it in all cases was plain white host rock with a few black splotches and no or microscopic rutile that was a hidden and could not be seen . A few years ago, I bought earrings from Mine Finds and they were beautiful Astrophylite with plenty of glowing copper/bronze rutile that takes my breath away. Hard to explain but without this feature, the stone is boring and not worth buying.

  • NOT AS Advertised

Ordered 2 rings. Both had a thin veneer of Astrophyllite over a cream matrix which was most of the stone. Not even close to what was advertised and design of ring is silly. Ring sizes were 1-2 sizes too small. Totally overpriced for such poor quality. Returning both.

  • Where's the Pictured Stone?

I have a pendant and earrings of this material from a few years back from Jay. It was pricey, but it is gorgeous. I was hoping to get this as a matching ring. The pieces I have are dark, with a lot of dark colors, and an inner sparkle to the stone, similar to the online photo, IF that one was in a dark room... I ordered 2 rings, hoping to get one similar, but one came almost completely whitish/clear with a few black streaks, and the second whitish/clear with a few more black streaks and a dark red streak. It's interesting that the new ring shape, and the older pendant/earrings shapes are the same. These must be the rejected stone earring pieces from that last offering. Returning.
