  • perfect machine

easy to understand & use. Lightweight, perfect stitches. It is my 2nd Janome. First one is a quilting machine. This one is for smaller projects, like making an outfit or mending. I love it! I say, buy it use it, and you will love it.

  • Sewing and Quilting are my life.

I normally find great joy in using all these new machines to complete my sewing and quilting projects. But - I am so sorry to say - I find this one a disappointment. It is my first Janome sewing machine and, possibly, the clacking noises and loud, obnoxious hum when it is in use is normal for this brand. It feels like it is struggling to do even straight stitches. I don't know about this brand. I usually buy Brother, Baby Lock or Singer and the new machines (or at least the ones I have purchased) have all been much quieter. In fact, if one of my other machines sounded like that, I would send it to the shop for repairs. Unfortunately, I am working against deadlines and do not have time to send this machine back. Since it works, I will complete my projects and then give it to my niece. She is a beginner and it, hopefully, will not bother her.
