  • Great Machine So Far

Got this machine from a recommendation and I have not been disappointed. I am a intermediate beginner sewer and have just gotten into quilting. /the 1/4 seam foot has been wonderful in keeping a uniform stitch allowance. Would definitely recommend!

  • Great!I

I am a man, and when I was in boot camp, I was issued a small sewing kit to darn my socks. :)Now I want to learn so I can make some of the ideas I have. So far this machine is great. It was super easy to set up and I was sewing in no time, of course I was only practicing on a rag. In any case, I am learning this fast and I like the options and different stitches that it can do. This machine can even sew heavy material. For a beginner like me this machine was perfect. I highly recommend this machine.

  • Great "little" no frills machine

This is the best little sewing machine. I use it almost every day. It is so simple to operate and easy to thread.

  • great for begginer!

I bought this machine based on the reviews. And I couldn't be happier! I'm a begginer beginner as in it took me 2 days to thread the machine! I've just finished making throw pillows for my bed and they look just like they came from Marshalls! And I've only had this machine since December 2014 with no classes only YouTube and Google. One tip read your manual! Good luck!!

  • A sew nice machine!

Out of the box ready! Just thread the machine and sew. It is that simple with this small machine. I just made a flannel rag quilt for my granddaughter with this little machine. It did not falter at all. It is very stable and relatively quiet and makes a good even. stitch. It is light enough for me to carry to my quilt group. Excellent value.

  • Great!

I purchased this sewing machine for my mom. She loves it. She's been sewing for many years and at her advanced age, has no interest in learning to sew on a new comuterized model. This is very similar to a machine that she has had for years. So transitioning to this was as easy as pie for her. Thank you for continuing to make these types of simple machines.

  • Great straight stitch!

So far so good. I used this machine for the first time this weekend to piece a quilt top and was very pleased with it's ease of use. This machine is very quiet compared to my much more expensive Janome Memory Craft computerized machine-which is still going strong after more than 20 years!. I wanted a mechanical machine for good straight stitches for quilt piecing and small machine quilting projects.. I am very pleased with the stitch quality. I also like that all of my Janome feet will fit on this machine.Great machine for the price and I trust the Janome name.

  • Solid Machne

This machine is very easy to set up, especially for those of us who have been sewing for years and have used mechanical machines, No bobbin or threading problems. If you are new to sewing, the manual is easy to understand and explains how to set the machine up. It is a nice, sturdy machine and sews well-constructed stitches. It is a mechanical sewing machine, so you will have less problems with it versus electronic or computerized machines which can be finicky. It does make buttonholes, and has several stretch and finishing stitches. The only thing that disappointed me was the size, it is a little smaller than I expected, and you have to remove the free arm in order to change the bobbin. However, these types of front loading bobbins in the case are a lot less problematic than the top loading ones that you can see, so I don't mind that. It has a nice weight to it, not too heavy, but heavy enough not to move around while sewing. I also think that it is pretty quiet.I bought a Singer compu
