500 CFM Indoor Evaporative Air Cooler (Swamp Cooler) with Remote Control in White
Overview & Details
The Honeywell 500 CFM indoor evaporative air cooler offers an energy efficient cooling option when the air is hot with low humidity, such as desert areas like the southwestern United States (recommended humidity level is 60% or less for maximum efficiency). Honeywell evaporative air coolers do not require power hungry components like compressors. The low power consumption (only 235 watts) translates into significant savings on energy bills compared to using air conditioners. Just unpack, add water/ice, place near open door or window, plug it in, and use. This unit is ideal for indoor use in open environments with adequate cross ventilation up to 300 square feet. Four fan speeds and oscillating louvers evenly distribute cool air through the honeycomb cooling media while the carbon dust filter cleanses the air. For those living in more humid climates, consider portable air conditioning units or window air conditioners.

Didn't work for me
I live on Maui and bought 2 one for my daughter and myself. It works if your sitting right in front of it. Has been hot as an oven here and high humidity, we went thru a 50lb pound bag ice in one day and it was just too much labor intense to keep filling the ice compartment. Not worth all the hassle so I will be sending one back keeping the other just so my daughter can sit in front of to cool down since she's 8 months pregnant.Nativehawaiian, FLWas this review helpful? 23 out of 31 found this review helpful
Worst return experience ever! Waste of time!
Buy a fan! This unit is a waste of time. What's worse is the return experience. I returned the unit within five days of receiving it in Aug 2016. Thank God I saved the return tracking number. It sat in a HSN warehouse and HSN acted as if they had no clue why it wasn't showing up in their system. I did not get a refund until Nov 2016! Horrible customer service! I had to call at least five times and each person kept telling me the refund was issued. Horrible experience! No apology note or manager call. This is the first review I've written on a product. It's mainly because the return of it was so horrible! Get better customer service HSN!!!AB294, NCWas this review helpful? 20 out of 22 found this review helpful
