    You can walk away and it turns itself off

    We bought this as an alternative to heating water in a tea kettle on the stove for our disabled daughter. She can make her own tea or hot chocolate without forgetting boiling water on the stove. Now everyone in the home uses it because it also heats the water very quickly. You can walk away and it turns itself off when heated. Just what we needed.

    Very useful

    When we had to boil water during our snow and ice storm this kettle saved us.It keep going like the energizer bunny.Love it.

    Just what I wanted

    I was replacing another that finally wore out. This was the perfect replacement. I use it several times a day and would recommend it to others. The ONLY thing I wish HB would correct is the lid does NOT stay open when you are filling it. You have to hold it open. My other kettle (different brand) the lid stayed open so you could fill it.

    Okay

    Unfortunately, this kettle does not shut off automatically, and is rather leaky when pouring. Otherwise, it is okay. I will make do with it until cirmcumstances permit me to get something better.
