Good to Know

  • Digital eyestrain is the physical discomfort felt after two or more hours in front of a digital screen. It is associated with the close- to mid-range distance of digital screens, including desktop and laptop computers, tablets, e-readers and cell phones.
  • The most commonly used digital devices include desktops, laptops, tablets, video games, TVs and smartphones.
  • Over time, eyes are exposed to various sources of blue light. Emerging research suggests that this cumulative and constant exposure to blue light can damage retinal cells. This leads to slow degradation, which could result in long-term vision problems such as age-related macular degeneration (aMd) and cataracts. High levels of blue light might be detrimental to eye comfort. While blue light is unavoidable, it is important to understand how it impacts eyes and bodies, and to know tools and tips for limiting exposure when necessary.
  • 2016 Vision Council Digital Eyestrain Report Findings report that the potential risks associated with digital devices and chronic overexposure to blue light can lead to increased numbers of glaucoma and retinal degenerative eye diseases.
  • Americans' eyes are often over-exposed daily.
         - 90% of Americans use digital devices for 2 or more hours a day
         - 60% of Americans use digital devices for 5 or more hours a day
         - 70% of Americans use 2 or more devices as 1 time a day
         - Conclusion: 65% of Americans experienced symptoms of digital eye strain
  • Symptoms commonly associated with overexposure to digital devices include:
  •      - Eye strain 32.8%
         - Neck/shoulder and back pain 32.6%
         - Headache 24%
         - Blurred vision 23.3%
         - Dry eyes 22.8%

  • Right On Time...

These glasses work well. I read another reviewer say there was an area of distortion on theirs, I experienced the exact same thing on the upper right lens side, which tell me that this is probably the case with all of them. It is not an issue with me as it doesn't block my line of vision in any way, and they really help tremendously! I don't have to squint or look away anymore. I had started wearing sunglasses which worked but made things dark, but these are great!

  • Love it, but there a small area with a distortion

Love it, but there a small area with a distortion. Will need to get it exchanged. Must be the either coating or the glass. I would still recommend it.It's lightweight.

  • Blockers

This eye protection works well. I purchased one for each family member. They love it as well! I wish they make a pair that can go over eyeglasses.

  • Not As Described

Not as described, I find myself squinting all the time when I have them on. The other big problem is I see the reflection of my eyes clearly on the inside of the lenses that is comletly destracting and annoying. The next problem is the color is off making everything greenish brown like looking at an old 1950's TV so that is a downgrade in technology. I would return them but after a $5.50 shipping to me and $7.99 to ship back that makes it a rip off Scam. I would strongly not recomend.
