    Perfect Tool for the Family Chef

    I purchased this for my mom for Christmas and it was the perfect gift! She was stressing over not having enough oven space for Christmas dinner and after opening this gift, we thought wed give it a whirl for the prime rib roast. The entire roast was so moist and a perfect medium rare all the way through. The machine is so simple and quiet. We cant wait to try other items with it!

    Love it!

    Highly recommend this device! It does so much more than just steaks. You can pasteurize eggs, make poached eggs in the shell (watch the video!), make yogurt, reheat, thaw (circulate at room temperature setting), and more. I think it would be great to make chicken breasts and salmon and even steak on the weekend for the upcoming week's lunches. Fabulous on a salad. Tons of information online -- articles, blogs, videos, recipes. Check them out, and you'll see this is a very hot thing with chefs right now. Food & Wine is very reputable, and this device is sturdy and well made.

    Best Steak and Brisket Ever!!

    It works perfectly every time. The temperature stays steady and steaks are wonderful - just a little butter and sear on a hot pan and restaurant quality steak at home. Tried a brisket and finished on the smoker - yumm!Next try - prime rib.

    A M A Z I N G....I LUV my new Sous Vide!!

    My newest addition to my kitchen & I love it!! I made double think lamb chops tonight perfect temperature to Medium! I heated my stockpot with water to 132 degrees (medium rare) for 30 minutes with m Sous Vide. Then put my lamp chops in for 2 hours (medium rare) because I knew I was going to put them on my stove to sear them on both sides & that would bring the inside temperature to a perfect medium. I brushed my lamb chops with olive oil, salt, pepper & dried rosemary, 3 whole cloves of garlic & couple of pats of butter into a vacuumed sealed bag. I placed the bag in the water for 2 hours. Put some butter in my Curtis stone pan, with a little like oil, the garlic cloves & juice from vacuumed sealed bag & Viola!!! The meat was so tender!!! The color was perfect pink all the out to the edges of the meat! Our dinner could have been pictured in Food & Wine Magazine...that is how perfect it was!!!

    Best Way to Cook!

    Used the Sous Vide Cooker with my Food & Wine 12QT stock pot to cook pork chops and they came out very tender and juicy. Will be using this more often.
