    that hopefully will work when you need it to. I live in florida and just went thru Irma and do have a house generator outside a bedroom window by the guest bedroom.. friends also have the same thing and in their new house CM alarms are now in fire detectors and theirs went off because it detected CM coming into the house, so we thought better be safe.Reason for less stars, I saw this same unit at ACE hardware with a coupon for about $5.00 less.

    I put a battery in and plugged it into the outlet and it's working fine.
