Chef Jet Tila 12" Hybrid Ceramic Nonstick Clad Stainless Steel High Wall Griddle
Chef Jet Tila is no stranger to competition, so when he set out to design his ultimate cookware, he made sure it was going to be the best! He started with a true tri-ply stainless steel pan which consists of three layers: an exterior of magnetic stainless steel (so it can be used on any range, even induction), then a core of pure aluminum which provides even heating not only across the bottom, but up the sides as well. Finally, a top layer of stainless steel which has an ingenious nonstick layered into it.
Most nonsticks are comprised of layers of coatings placed on top of each other. Chef Jet realized they could get scratched and might not brown food like on a pure metal surface. So, he came up with his hybrid coating. You'll find that the surface is a combination of raised stainless steel designs (his logo, by the way) and in between he added a ceramic nonstick. The result is the perfect balance between sear and release! Plus, it's metal utensil safe, made with a ceramic nonstick.
A round griddle is THE versatile pan which can do just about everything. It's large diameter is perfect for pancakes, flapjacks, eggs, French toast, bacon, sausages, but can also handle grilling and searing steaks, salmon and chicken breast with its even heating and a delivers a perfect sear. If that wasn't enough, the higher sides mean that you can roast chicken, vegetables, pork tenderloins and even make a killer paella! You're only limited by your imagination.
