  • Very Handy

Also I have never seen this anywhere before. I like to examine coins to look for mint errors. I have purchased way too many magnifying glasses but none were strong enough. I purchased a jewelers loop but that was too strong that it blotted out the image. This is perfect. It's small enough to go right in our pocket and you can change the focus depending on what you are trying to see. This little microscope will see inside a millimeter crack in a coin down to the core metal! I'm happy to have it.

  • These are great!

My kids love these. I don't think they're made for LONG term use which is why I also purchased the digital microscope, But they are perfect to get your feet wet in the micro physical world. Very user friendly and they show a world not known to the naked eye. The light helps you to see details better.

  • Find a minute grain of salt, 1 u can't see...

Place the lens down, lite on, look focus and if you're very lucky, Notice that the grain is all you can observe. THE mic is soooo powerful, it multiplies even the eensiest sample so the lens becomes entirely blocked. Not effective for children, gemstones, can't really think of any thing. I even tried a hair follicle. No dice.. I think it's remarkable that HSN. Advertises such totally ill conceived products, and sells them. SANS directions, of course.
