  • Perfect

I am not sure why so many people gave this machine a poor review. I watched a how to video and made a minor adjustment to my embossing machine and it worked perfectly. The foiling on my card stock was as expected and I found the machine easy to use. Also, HSN delivered the machine about a week earlier than expected.

  • Great addition to my craft room

Works as described when you follow the directions and make sure to push the on button located next to the red light, I missed that the first time and thought I had a dud. I tested the foiling on different cardsotcks and tried with and without a shim, had great results right away. I also tested with waiting a bit longer for my dies to heat up than suggested. But all and all am very happy with my purchase. Sometimes electronics do not function upon delivery, but other than that I can not understand the negative reviews. My unit heated up and operated as it should, very happy!

  • Great Results

Let me start by saying that whomever packed the products was seriously sadistic! The tape on the back of the wafer thin dies and on the rolls of foil took me a long time to remove. My first attempt at foiling was with the Happy Birthday and the blue foil. It turned out fine, but I decided on my next attempt to use not only a shim of cardstock, but also about three pieces of regular paper. The second attempt was perfect! I am so glad I was able to get this machine. Now I'm waiting for the other wafer thin dies to come back into stock so I can purchase them as well.

  • Great results

First let me say I was very nervous to try out this machine after all the negative reviews. However my experience was much better then that of the other reviewers. My machine became hot, the hot stamps heated up nicely and my impressions were excellent and not blotchy at all. Here's what I did. I let the foil stamp heat up for 60 seconds as opposed to 30 seconds. After placing the foil and cardstock on top of the hot die, I placed a pieced of thin cardboard on top, closed the lid and ran it through the Cuttlebug several times. I used the rose die and both times the results were excellent. My only issue was the pink foil which is the same color on both sides. The first time I used the pink foil it was upside down and transferred to the die instead of the paper. Luckily, the foil that adhered to the die, did not affect the performance of the die. I was able to use it again with no issues. Overall I am pleased with my purchase.

  • Love it!!

I ordered this machine and all the extra dies on 3/8/17. I received it last week and I read the poor reviews on it so I was nervous that it would not work. I am very very pleased with it! I tried it tonight and it worked beautifully. I let the machine heat up til the light was green, placed the hot stamp on the hot black mat and let it sit there for a minute and them put the foil on -color side down and the card stock-let that sit for a minute and then placed an extra piece of card stock as an extra shim, ran it thru my cuttle bug twice-once up and back-then I let it sit for another 30 seconds and it was beautiful.

  • Poor foiling quality

I ordered this product because I was excited to use a different method that didn't require toner printer. Tried foiling with Minc foil and it doesn't work. It was mentioned on air, that it would work with Minc foil. Used the hot stamps and the foiling was a little spotty. I used all different shims, but it still didn't transfer the complete stamp. I think the problem is with the uneven pressure using Cuttlebug. Can't put the hot foil stamp in the middle because there is less pressure in the Cuttlebug even with shims. It was even more difficult foiling with an embossing folder getting the correct and even pressure on the cuttlebug. For me, this is too much work for the price of this machine. I really like the idea, but unfortunately, I am returning it because I am not able to get a good clean foiled imprint.

  • Hit or Miss

First let me say I've watched the You Tube Videos from The makers of the machine, then I watched other videos. I consider myself a seasoned crafter so I felt with a little practice I should get this, well not so. I did get a couple of ok results but not to where I was extremely happy. I'm not sure if it's the machine not getting hot enough, the foil, or the fact I am using my Expression to run it through. Nevertheless this machine has got me stumped, I've been waiting for Anna to produce her how to video because her demo time was so short when it aired. I guess it's to late for me to send it back, but it was a very expensive lesson to learn. I feel disappointed because I was so looking forward to this machine helping me achieve a more professional look to my projects. I hope someone can address these issues. Thank you.

  • Obviously NO Quality Control

I wanted to LOVE this machine. Truly, I tried. Reading many of the reviews here made me realize that either the machine works- or it doesn't. Mine doesn't. I watched umpteen YouTube videos, read up on it, tried all kinds of hacks, and finally, having only got one decent result, have to concede that the machine does not get hot enough, and PROBABLY should have come with a metal shim to work properly. The only thing it did consistently was produce poor results. Hopefully, realizing how shoddily produced these were, Anna Griffin can force Couture Creations to go back to the drawing board and produce a product that is worthy of her name. This isn't.

  • Such a disappointment

ok, first let me say I wanted to love this machine. First machine I received didn't work properly. Wasnt happy that I couldnt use my minc foil but that was another issue all together. Still was really disappointed the machine didnt work properly. I received a replacement machine and sadly that machine worked about 25 percent of the time. For a machine that is as pricey as this I expected better results. I was even ok with the fact that it used different foil then the minc. However getting it to give you a good result was far and few between. It did seem to get very hot however rarely was the final product what it was supposed to be. It seems that many people have had the same problem with it. While I love the idea of the machine, I think they need to go back to the drawing board with this one.
