Honors the 50th anniversary of the Little Rock Central High School desegregation - a tribute to the strength, determination and courage of nine African-American students who, in the fall of 1957, integrated the high school and became a symbol of the fight for civil rights
Obverse features students, accompanied by an armed United States soldier, walking to the school. Nine stars represent the nine African-American students.
