  • Father of American coinage

Nice collection especially the 1994 matte finish nickel. Enjoy reading how much influence Jefferson had on our current money system.

  • Overall Package

Generally, I stay away from reviews because the coins I purchase from HSN do not have elaborate storybook packaging as did this one does. Upon opening the box, I found that the outer product sleeve looked like it was crewed on by a pet and the embossed printed text on it partially missing. The outer sleeve was also separated at the seem where it is factory bound. To further exasperate the situation, the inner sleeve which holds the coins and currency was nearly folded. I would have and should have returned the selection if the coin and currency had been damaged but it seems that's the only things left undamaged. I was disappointed to say the least to see the damage since this set is in government issued packaging and not a secondary market packaging thereby lowering the actual value of the item drastically affecting it's value and not worth the purchasing price from HSN.

  • Pretty nice

The coins and $2 bill in this set look great and come in a cardboard presentation folder and each coin and bill is encased in plastice protection. However, my cardboard box was slightly dammaged due to what I think was another customers return. I called HSN to tell them I liked the coins and bill, but did not appreciate being sent a set that had been sent out and returned after being handled. They gave me a $22 refund to my credit card which was a great compromise. I got to keep the coins and bill I wanted, and got a better price because the presentation folder was sub-par.
