The tiny mite bronze coin was the smallest and lowest denomination that circulated throughout the Holy Land during the life of Jesus. Twice in the Gospels, in Luke and Mark, we hear the Parable of the Widow's Mites - a tale of charity and humility told by Jesus in the last days of his life. This coin has been certified by NGC Ancients to be authentic and, since many fakes have been produced, it is very important to have this certification.
