  • What a mess!, (Early100118 MI)
    06/21/2014

When I opened this, somehow I opened the powder container and got it all over. Once I cleaned up the mess, it was easy to apply to my roots. It worked OK where I put on my part when I first styled my hair, but my hair has a tendency to move its part around, so I ended up showing gray in the "new" part anyway. I guess if it weren't so messy I would give it another star, but if it's that easy to spill, the packaging needs another look at.

  • OK coverage, but will it stay put?, (Early100118 MI)
    06/21/2014

I ordered this for my husband, who has a balding spot on the crown of his head. Perhaps his spot is too sparse for this to look realistic. We were also concerned whether it would run if he got stuck in the rain. I might order it for myself in the black for when my gray roots are showing.

  • So So, (louisa313 VA)
    06/18/2014

This looked unnatural on me and it is difficult to really match this one shade of blonde to all the blonde colors we use. Apply it as directed and it goes on the skin and does cut down on the amount of skin that shows through thinning hair but I did not like how it looked so I returned it.

  • Not true brown, (lolo810 NY)
    05/30/2014

It says dark brown, but make hair look red. Had to buy black to mix with it to darken the color.

  • Nice, but not for me, (lolo810 NY)
    05/30/2014

The concept works, but really not for my hair. I will pass it on to someone who can use it. I had the dark brown, but it was red, so I bought the black and mixed it to make it darker, it worked.

It does a good job covering those roots but no shine.

  • Applicator system needs improvement, (GaGa639 PA)
    05/21/2014

While the product gives great coverage and does what it is supposed to do, the application process is very messy. I won't buy again unless a better application process is designed.

  • Disappointed with the applicator., (kadenika NY)
    05/14/2014

The first time I used TruHair I opened the bottom and put it directly onto the brush. It did a great job. After I shampooed my hair I shook the bottle expecting the color to be on the brush. Well, very little was on the brush and was not as good as the first time. I reread the instructions and I guess I am doing something wrong, but I can't figure out what it is. If I have to continue opening the bottle to put the powder directly on the brush it is not going to last very long. Also, I went to the web site and listened to the commercial again and no where did the host say how to use the applicator. All they did was brush it on to the scalp and hair. I wish someone would be more explicit as to how to use this product. HELP!!!!

  • Not great for colored blonde/gray hair., (lmck GA)
    04/27/2014

Not good coverage for my gray, blonde colored hair. May work better on darker hair? Small amount in bottle.

  • Comes off at Night, (wastenot MD)
    04/24/2014

Although Truhair does cover any thinhair spots, which you'd think would give it high marks, it does come off on my pillow case at night. Also, the lid is poor. Once you take it off, you have to squeeze the brush hairs into the cap again. Certainly, this would be easy enough to correct, TRUHAIR.

  • Not enough of the powder, (Joyce979 TX)
    04/20/2014

I do like this product but you give a very small amount which makes it expensive, please add more powder don't be so cheap with the amount as you do get very little after a few uses it runs out or I will have to go back to what I used to use.3 stars for not enough powder

great coverage, great color match. love the packaging container and brush control application. however, does rub off a little on pillow if not washed out with shampoo prior to bed. but great product. already saved me having to do a color job when i just didn't have time.

  • I like it better than Joan River's color, (roberta01 WV)
    04/13/2014

I think it's a bit over priced for the amount you get and you do have to be very careful when opening or you will end up spilling it everywhere and losing half or all of your product. All in all it pretty much does what it says it will, but the black only makes my grey roots look like a dark brown and I can tell the difference from my black hair and the covered grey roots. Even so I think it's a good product. I had previously ordered Joan River's color and it was ok but I like this product much better than hers by far.
