| | | Somersize Beef Bourguignonne There are two ways to use your Somersize Simmer Sauces with the Slow Cooker. You can add the meat and the sauce at the beginning or you can cook the meat first, then add the sauce at the end. Sometimes I prefer the latter method because some meats release a lot of liquid (which is why it gets so tender and delicious!) and that liquid can dilute the sauce. In most cases I add the sauce at the end. The liquid is usually hot enough to just stir in the sauce and serve. If you need to keep heating it, just let your cooker go for another 15-30 minutes. Ingredients 1 3-lb chuck roast 2/3 cup Somersize Traditional Burgundy Simmer Sauce - or as desired
Directions - Place 1 chuck roast (about 3 pounds) into Somersize Slow Cooker Porcelain Crock.
- Place lid on and set to Low for 8 hours. Add 2/3 cup Somersize Traditional Burgundy Simmer Sauce (or more, if desired) and stir with juices to combine. Great with Mashed Celery Root!
