Baked Caramel Apples )
Serving Size: 6 apples
Ingredients
6 apples
1 stick (8 tablespoons) butter
1 jar Somersize Pear Cinnamon Caramel Sauce
1 cup water
About ½ cup heavy cream
Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Use convection if available.

  2. Wash and core the apples. Place side by side in a casserole dish.

  3. Insert about 1 tablespoon butter into the cavity of each apple. Distribute the remaining butter on the bottom of the casserole dish.

  4. Fill the rest of the of the apple cavities with Somersize Pear Cinnamon Caramel Sauce. Add 1 cup of water to the bottom of the casserole dish.

  5. Bake for about 1 hour, until apples are golden brown and wrinkly.

  6. Remove casserole from oven and preheat the broiler. Drizzle more warm caramel sauce onto the tops of each apple.

  7. Place back into the oven, under the broiler for about 3 minutes, or until the tops are slightly blackened.

  8. Place each apple into a serving bowl with some of the pan juices.

  9. Drizzle 1-2 tablespoons heavy cream over each apple. Add another drizzle of warm caramel sauce, as desired.

  10. Serve warm.
