Steiner Sports Doc Gooden "Shea Goodbye" Wave to the Crowd Signed 16" x 20" Photo
Dwight Gooden, known to Mets fans as Doc or Dr. K., epitomized the 'gotta believe' Mets in the mid-80s. Throughout his career, Doc was a fearless pitcher who helped lead the Mets to a World Series in 1986. He finished his career for the crosstown rival Yankees with a .634 winning percentage and 2293 strikeouts to his credit. 1996 was a magical season for the Yankees and for Gooden. He joined the Mets as a 19 year-old Rookie. After 11 seasons, it had to be a bittersweet goodbye.
