I ordered these shoes to wear to a wedding. The color purple is on the lighter side hence the name used, plum, it is somewhat of a dark lavender and the silver buckle looks great. The reason I had to return was due to my thick ankles, or at least my negative view of them. The design of the shoe is close to an ankle strap style and the top part went pretty high on me, I simply cannot wear that sort of look because of what I consider are too thick ankles. Don't misunderstand, I'm not referring to the dreaded cankles just thick, short, muscular legs. Other than my personal problem these shoes are very comfortable and attractive. I gave four stars because this truly is a very nice shoe, just not for me.

I was a little hesitant to buy this shoe because I thought the heel would be too high. But I bit the bullet and brought the taupe pair and the positive reviews are right on target. The leather is soft, the heel is just high enough to make your gams look fabulous without being uncomfortable. Great shoe and a great price!
