Great lil'' grill, tough for spatially challenged

Removable plates are tricky for spatially challenged. I had a heck of the time getting the plates on the first time, until my bf pointed out 1) top & bottom plates not interchangable plus 2) the grooves at farthest edge of the the grill plates need to latch first - after that it's a snap. As for cooking, it's great, heats up hot and fast, great replacement for the BBQ grill or open fry pan stinking up the house.

Made one panini which was wonderful, the next day when I used it the unit made a loud popping sound and sparks flew out of the back of the unit and of course it never turned on again.

This was my first and I have to say last Wolfgang Puck item I will ever purchase. This is going back! I was saving this for a Mother's Day gift and after reading the reviews I decided to open it and like many, many others, top plate comes off. There needs to be a RECALL done on this item with a full refund of purchase, shipping (both to and from). An apology would be nice as well.
Healthy Food in A Matter of Minutes

I recently made a commitment to make healthier food choices. I like to cook, but I don’t have a lot of time to spend preparing elaborate meals. The Panini Duet is perfect for me. I’ve used it to grill vegetables, chicken, and fish. Everything comes out tender and juicy. The best thing is that I’m able to prepare a meal in a matter of minutes. I use it at least 3-4 times per week. I love it!

I have used this grill practically every day. It is so easy to use and easy to clean. The grill heats up immediately and my food is cooked in minutes. It is the perfect size for 2 people. No problems with the plates coming off. I look forward to many more years using this product!!

I bought this item as a Today's Special and I Love it! I have not had any trouble with the plates and have used it many times in the last 2 weeks. This is my first Wolfgang Puck purchase and it won't be my last!

Its too bad that so many of you are so quick to give up on this grill. My top plate kept falling out too at first, but learned if you take the time to line it up right, push it back and hear a click, it will then stay in place! I dont have any problem with it now, and use it almost everyday. It grills food perfectly, cleans up so easy and looks great, I leave it on the counter...dont give up on it so fast!

Great size for everyday. Haven't had any problems w/top plate falling out. You have to make sure the top one is on top and the bottom one is on the bottom. Top plate has a circle in the middle on the under side, and you have to make sure that it is locked in place under the 2 pcs that latch it in place, both at the front & the back.

NO PROBLEMS here with the grill plates. food cooks quick and great thanks wolf P. love all my wolf products. Easy clean up as well.....

I have made wonderful, health and yummy sandwiches! Top plate was loose and did come undone a few times not always. Even when it did come undone the sandwiches still tasted GREAT and it did not affect the quality of the product! Enjoy great sandwiches with mozarella and tomatoes and lots of pesto! Do not let the reviews scare you off! You are not buying a car it is a great sandwich maker and a small investment for the money you will save on paninis eating out. |
