I bought the first panini duet and the top plate fell out on the first use. Got another one, used for a month and loved it. The same thing happened again, the plate fell out as I was removing the food. I hope this problem gets solved because I loved it when it worked. Although, I'm not sure I would give it another chance. And I am a great big fan of Wolfgang Puck. Wolfgang, what happened here?

I bought this because of the brand name and the concept sounded great. But after just a few uses the top plate falls off every time it gets hot. I tried everything to keep it on but nothing works. I see other customers have had the same problem.I would think it should last longer that just a few months. I will not order any more Wolfgang Puck products.

Great size, great idea but no back-bone.... The quality of this grill is so below what it should be. In my view it is a piece of junk at a high price. Sent it back after first use. So disappointing!
Have they FIXED the plate problem on these?

We had THREE of these and absolutely ADORED the performance. We KNOW how to use it and to insert plates. Worked great for almost six weeks. Suddenly one day top plate fell off WHILE HOT. With great reluctance returned all three due to safety issues. Would buy again IF problem was fixed but it seems not to have been if HSN is simply telling how to attach plates!

I basically like the product. I too have had problems from the time I took it out of the box, with the top plate falling. On several occaisions, It has fallen when hot. Very dangerous. Please fix this design flaw and it will be really good. Waffle plates would be good.

So far everything is great this this Panini. However, a longer electical cord would be nice and an extra grease dish would also be nice. It does smoke, but, maybe they all smoke. I place mine on a paper towel, if grease should come out the back (very little) the paper towel absorbes it. I love it so far! Hope I don't have problems others have had!

It's nice for my counter space and it works great. I like the elegant look on it also. I hope wolfgang makes plates for this one too, like waffles..then it will be perfect for me.

I loved this grill and used it almost everyday for paninis, hot dogs, chicken, grilled veggies, etc. But after about 2 months, the latch that keeps the top grill in place broke off. If the quality was better I would have given it 5 stars.

I was very happy receiving this product as it made my life easier for my busy schedule. It is small enought to leave out on a counter and is the right size for a single person and dinner was done in minutes, but after 10th use it the top grill wouldn't snap into place and therefore couldn't be used. I paid decent money for and to only use it a few times and have the grill break was disappointing.

I purchased this panini maker recently and I love it! The plates are very easy to lock in place and I have had no problems at all with them coming off. This panini maker seems very well made to me and I couldn't be more satisfied. I would highly recommend it to anyone! It does an awesome job! |
