DELICIOUS RECIPE / satisfied74, WI   9/4/2009
I RECENTLY PURCHASED THIS COOKBOOK BY DEBRA MURRAY. THE RECIPE THAT I HAVE USED IS THECHICKEN AND DUMPLINGS. I HAVE SERVED MY FAMILY THIS ONE SEVERAL TIMES AND IT IS DELICIOUS. AND I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO TRYING MORE RECIPES FROM THIS TALENTED AUTHOR AND COOK, DEBRA MURRAY. THANKS DEBRA AND HSN FOR THIS FINE BOOK FOR SERVING DINNERS QUCKLY AND SATISFYING FOR OUR FAMILIES. The baked ziti was awful / COPYDIVA, AL   9/2/2009
I may find a use for some of the other recipes, but the baked ziti -- one of my favourite dishes -- was horrible. Didn't taste a thing like any baked ziti I ever had, and I had a stepfather from Calabria, Italy and a mom who cooked Italian all the time. big disappointment.

Very Disappointed....Nothing substantial / , MI   8/29/2009
Bought this book on all the praise and talk during the shows. Wow, very disappointed! Nothing great, no new ideas for main dishes, very limited. More desserts than soups or meals. Got more from the grocery store crockpot recipes booklet at checkout. Thought this would be the winner, but sent back this loser the next day. Dont waste your money!

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST RICE COOKER COOKBOOK! / , NY   8/21/2009
I received the cookbook today and after browsing through it, I can't wait to start using it! The recipes do not appear to be complicated at all. I have borrowed several rice cooker cookbooks from the library and not one compares to Deb's book! The recipes included are for things I eat, not a lot grains! I'm only sorry I waited so long to purchase it!

This is the best cookbook ever and I have lots of them. I have made more recipes from this cookbook than any other I own. The rice, pasta, whatever I cook is perfect and very tasty. It is especially good for this time of year so I don't have to turn on my oven (I live in the high desert and it gets HOT !!). I think anyone who gets this cookbook will find many wonderful new dishes to try. Will be buying one for each of my grown children for Christmas. Try it....you won't be disappointed.

I am A 67 year old gentleman, I don't cook much but after getting my rice cooker and cook book I found cooking can be quick and easey I am very happy with mine and I am ordering one for my sister.

I was disappointed when I received this book last month. I am on a special health plan that requires me to eat foods I prepare, not store boaught convience goods. I need to control the salt in my food. Since most convience products have excess sodium as preservatives can not use this book. Her short cuts are the prepared cans of food or ready made packages. I can not read a book once I looked at it so it stays however I do not think I will have much use of it if any.

RECEIVED COOKBOOK AND 10 CUP RICE COOKER COUPLE WEEKS AGO. BOTH ARE SO WONDERFUL. HAVE TO ADMIT I LOVE TO WATCH DEBRA COOK BUT, THIS IS THE FIRST COOKBOOK OR COOKWARE SHE COOKS WITH ON HSN I HAVE PURCHASED. THOUGHT I REALLY COULD NOT COOK LIKE SHE DOES BUT I WAS WRONG. I HAVE HAD SOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH FUN COOKING WITH THIS COOKER AND THESE SEEMININGLY COMPLEX BUT EASY TO FOLLOW RECIPES. I SAY COMPLEX BECAUSE MY FAMILY SAYS, MOM YOU MADE THIS??? THANK YOU AND, GOOOOO DEBRA!!!!!!!!

Most-likely returning    2/1/2009
I just received my 10-cup rice cooker w/ the Cookbook from Debra & noticed that many of the recipes were the same ones that came FREE with my rice cooker. However, I did make the Lemon Poppyseed Cake. I followed the reciple to a tee. After an hour, when it should have been done, the middle was completely raw. I had to cook it for another 30 min for the middle to finally bake only to take it out of the pan to find out that the bottom was completely burnt!
