Doesn''t Work Well / , WA   11/1/2008
Not only did my big dogs not like this gadget, it didn't work well at all. It might work for small breeds with more delicate nails, but isn't a good choice for larger breeds with thick claws! I ended up taking them to the vet for a trim.

Torture for Sugar and me! / , TX   10/31/2008
My dog Sugar will let me file her nails with my board, but she will have NOTHING to do with this torture tool. It should come with tranquilizer, not to mention batteries and extra strips. The ads are so untrue. I guess current pol ads are the standard now. But if it looks too good to be true ...... How about some way to return without having to pay. Lost some trust with HSN with this one.

Pedi paws nail trimmer - useless / , FL   10/21/2008
Received it, was excited until I used it, the motor is so weak that it stalls. my 70 lb AM STAFF TERRIER'S nails are no different than any other dogs, but the motor when pressed with minimal pressure to the nail stops or whines and stalls-15 minutes to do one paw...they show a lab in the ad, but I don't believe the product is viable to use on large dogs - just not strong enough, good for small dogs and cats - will get a dremmel grinder instead.

Works great with a little patience! / , CO   10/20/2008
5 stars if it came with batteries and an extra head. The instructions tell you how to introduce this to your pet . . . slowly and with treats. At first my dog was not cooperative but giving her a treat and a break after each nail calmed her down. By the time I got to her back feet she was OK with it. Her formerly sharp scratchy nails are now smooth, which is wonderful for my wood floors. So, be patient, follow the directions and your pets nails will be better than ever.

Not worth the money... / , TX   10/20/2008
I just glad I ordered this from HSN. At least I know I'll have no problems returning it for a refund. It is absolutely useless.

Not what I expected!! / , NC   10/15/2008
First I can do the same with my Dremel tool. Second for 19.99 couldn't they include batteries and at least one replacement filing head (mine can without neither!!) I am very dissappointed that right off you need to go out and buy some batteries so you can use this cheap thing. I will stick with the old fashion clippers and use my Dremel tool to smooth. This was such a waste of time and money. SAVE YOUR MONEY this is going back for sure!!

It works / , CA   10/12/2008
I agree it does take a while for each nail, but my dog who hates her nails being cut had no problem with this. I gave it a 3 only because of the time it takes.

No sir I don''t like it,,, neither does our Pug. / , CT   10/10/2008
I introduced my pug to the unit. The dog took to it OK but was skiddish.works well sanding the nails, takes forever to do one nail. If the dog jerks a little. One of the nails jambed under the plastic shield ,the dog went nuts. Now I have a useless tool that the dog refuses to go near even when its not on. I think the ad for this item is unrealistic showing passive dogs just laying there while using the item. One sanding wheel supplied with the item Must keep buying more sand paper Roxy
