Liked the first steamer better / , FL   5/19/2008
The first steamer worked better then the new and improved model. The "new and improved" one does not heat up all the way and then will turn itself off before it even starts steaming. Also I can not tilt it forward for more than one or two seconds while steaming and it turns itself off! THis is very annoying. I think mine is defective because I know it should not work like this. But it is past the 30 day return policy. Last nite I went back to the old one that works great.

LOVE IT!! / , NY   5/19/2008
I do not understand the bad comments that I see here. I love the steamer...I absolutely HATE to iron...and will never iron again. How much water are you putting in it that it overflows?? I use the steamer in the morning prior to me going to work...and it heats up in no time & and works fine...love it!!

Don''t bother    5/10/2008
I hate it. It spits water all over the place. It cannot get wrinkles out of cotton. Don't bother.

great product / , NC   5/8/2008
I used my steamer straight out of the box on a cotton table runner with some embrodrey. I had hand washed it and hung it on a hanger to dry. The little steamer worked great. It looks better than if I had done it on the ironing board. In response to other reviews. Steam is hot, if you shake up what is already bubbling it will spritiz, and if you turn it towards the floor it will leak. After I steamed the table runner I pulled it and it looks great. I am off to do shirts. Great job Joy!

Absolutely Disappointing / , TX   5/6/2008
After watching the demonstration, I was excited about the prospect of NEVER using an iron again! WRONG. This product does not work at all the way it was advertised. The water spills everywhere and is boiling hot. So not only does it not work, it is not very safe, either. Would defintely not recommend this product. I am GLADLY returning it.

Difficult to operate    5/3/2008
This steamer is VERY hard to operate, and takes MUCH longer to get wrinkles out than my regular iron. The water compartment only allows you to iron a few (3-4) items, then you have to fill it with more water, wait for it to heat up again, etc. Also, water spills out VERY easily. I burned myself quite a few times during the first day. Not fun.

Love it 1!!! Goodbye iron!!!!    5/2/2008
The product is excellent. I swear by it. I keep it in my closet, it takes very little room and I can steam my clothes before I wear them in the morning. I also use it for new clothing that arrives by mail and is very wrinkled. I love it. I told all my girlfriends to buy it as well. I have no idea what people are complaining about. It is not heavy, only after the first 2 hours of continious use........... Wrinkles are gone and I have wasted just a fraction of my time

A Disappointment / , CA   5/1/2008
This steamer lacks ooomph. It doesn't work well on cottons, which is most of what I wear. There is no way it could ever replace my iron! It's too heavy to use on more than one garment because you have to keep holding it upwards. It takes too long to produce results, even on soft material like ultra-suede or microfiber. All in all, it was deceptively-advertised by Joy Mangano and the HSN host. Bad, HSN!

Will NEVER replace my iron / , VA   4/30/2008
On a white cotton blouse: no good. This did not do the job at all. Used it on "no iron" pants that usually need a little touch up: ok. Took a lot of time, going over and over. Worked on the new shower curtain! Got those fold creases out. I will keep it for window treatments difficult to handle on an ironing board. We'll see. Too "big" to travel with. All in all it was not worth it. What a let down. I just don't have the time or patience to return it!!

Dangerous / , IN   4/30/2008
At first I thought it was a brilliant idea! Until, I found out that the water actually boils right inside the steamer. It looked like a boiling pot of water! I'm holding this steamer in my hand and thinking all the while, if I were to tip this steamer to far or drop it, it would seriously scald me. In my opinion it should be removed from the market!
