Back for a 3rd one!!!

This is the perfect steamer for anyone. I bought the original type in the past and it finally gave out. I ordered the newer model with the retractable cord, but didn't get a chance to use it because my daughter took it with her to college. It's quick and easy. Makes getting the wrinkles out of clothes a lot of fun!!! Thank you Joy for always thinking of ways to improve your items. I love the retractable cord and the variety of colors.

I COULDN'T WAIT TO GET THIS. TOOK A FEW MINUTES TO FIND A SPOT WHERE I COULD HANG MY GARMET. A FEW MORE MINUTES TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO HOLD THE STEAMER AND PULL THE MATERIAL AT THE SAME TIME WITH OUT GETTING BURNED BY THE STEAM. THE CORD GOT STUCK INSIDE THE SECOND TIME I USED IT.....NOW HAVE AN EXTENSION CORD ATTATCHED.I STILL LIKE MY OTHER STEAMER WITH THE HOSE SO I CAN LAY THE ITEM DOWN WITH OUT HOT WATER POURING OUT. WILL USE FOR DRAPES, ETC.

I was a little nervous about this purchase as I have had mixed results with Joy's products. Though the steamer might be a little heavy for some people, I find that it works great for me. I rarely iron because it's such a pain. I keep the steamer by the dryer, fill it up and turn it on while I'm unloading the dryer and hanging things. It steams about 5-6 items before needing refileed which is perfect for me.

I ordered a second one to keep in my bedroom closet. I already had the expresso color. I love this product. I sent my daughter one at college also and she loves hers as well. I plan to give some for Christmas gifts this year.

The presentation indidicated I wouldn't need to iron again. Joy and the host said that it would be great for men's shirts. It does get rid of the wrinkles for my dress shirts, but it doesn't make the shirt presentable enough for wearing. I used it on four new drapes, and it worked great. I may reserve the use of it for things like t-shirts and for freshening up clothes that require dry cleaning.

Nice looking product. Held it with one hand and it was heavy. Water weight would make it heavier. I heard Joy say it was light weight - maybe for a weight lifter; it felt like a bowling ball. Love all other Joy products. This is not something one would pack and travel with. Didn't use - wrapped to send back.

I love this steamer I hate to iron and this steamer works great. I use it for quick jobs (1 -2) pieces and it works great, much faster than setting up the ironing board and ironing. I find that it works really well on cotton. I took the steamer on vacation and it worked great to get rid of suitcase wrinkles. If you plan to do large batches of clothes this is not the steamer for you this is a small unit and is great for quick jobs.

Well, I tried it and I have to agree this steamer is too much trouble. In order for it to work as it should you have to have the item upright and against a very flat wall. Most of us do not have access to that. I used it on a linen shirt and though it did work on the wrinkles, I had to struggle with the shirt and the steamer at the same time. Would probably work bettier if it gave burst of steam, but takes too long to work with and can Iron faster. Sorry Joy! |
