Awesome product / , OH   7/22/2008
I ordered this before I took a trip in which we lived out of suitcases travelling to different areas each day. It worked so well on our clothes! It heats up in no time and works better than any steamer I have tried. I now use it daily instead of an iron for clothes that stay in the clean laundry basket folded for more than a few days! Works well on ALL fabrics including denim. Am ordering 2 more for gifts.

GREAT "LITTLE STEAMER'' LOVE IT!!! / , OH   7/12/2008
My daughter asked for one for her apartment, so I purchased one for myself, too. We took it on a two week vacation where we packed and repacked many times. It worked perfectly. I was worried after reading reviews, but, I didn't buy it to do all my ironing, therefore haven't tried to use it that way. It is for when I have one or two things to prepare before going stepping for the day or night. I was perfectly pleased with the way it steamed away wrinkles. Fast, easy, and fun. Thanks Joy!!

Love It So Much I''ve Bought 3 So Far!! / , NY   7/10/2008
I bought this and LOVED it. I got the second onr for my secretary who loves it. Today my 21 year old son needed to iron his shirt(something he HATES to do)I told him to use my steamer. He was amazed and called it a miracle tool. It got his wrinkles out and he enjoyed it so much he told me he had to him get one. So...here I am buying the third one for him! I am very picky and did not have any of the problems the other posters have complained about. I say try it...you'll love it!!

I love this product and also haven't ironed since I got it. Am ordering one for a gift today. My kids all love it and use it regularly. i have read other reviews that were not so impressed, but I have found it extremely easy to use, and very effective, even on my 14 yr old son's shirts that he doesn't fold so well. In fact it is so easy, he uses it all the time. I frequently find it missing from my room because the kids take it!

I have a much more expensive steamer so I wasn't expecting much - but it has worked out great!! I keep it on my vanity and before work, if something needs pressing, I can steam in minutes. Would recommend and I'm a tough person to please :)

Does not work as advertised. Condensation at edge drips everywhere and can (and has ) damaged or made clothing such as silks and linens unwearable until professionally dry cleaned again. Took care to not touch edge to actual fabric, letting steam do the work and it can shoot out water droplets that then put small to large wet spots on fabrics. Uses almost a whole "tank" of water to steam a simple linen blouse...a size 4 blouse! A waste to time; space and money. Don't bother.

This is my second steamer from Joy and it works great. My first one, without retractable cord, would cycle on and off. I could steam for a minute, then it would shut off, I'd wait a minute, and it would cycle back on. REAL frustrating when you are trying to get somewhere. This one has worked great, so I think the first one was just a dud. Faster than ironing and lots easier than dragging out the ironing board. I place a hanger over my shower door and steam away. LOVE the retractable cord.

Uncomfortable to use and doesn't give good results. I struggled to use this - finding a convenient place, holding the garment straight without burning myself with the steam. Unit needs constant re-filling. And, after all that it only did a mediocre job of getting out the wrinkles. Stick to the iron and you'll get better results. Returned the product. Don't waste your time with this one.

My tip for holding the garment, I use large magnet clips to secure my garment to the side of my refrigerator and steam away. Go slow; let the steam do the job. Works great! My unit arrived with the cord stuck halfway. I was able to free it up and works perfectly now. It’s not heavy. My 10 yr old has no trouble using it.

Doesn''t replace ironing / , NC   6/17/2008
The demonstration on air made this product seem like magic, but I did not find it to take all the wrinkles out. After struggling over a pile of clothes, this will hang out in the closet until I need to do my curtains. I'm not sure how other people have found this to do all an iron can.
