i recieved these about 2 weeks ago and love them. yes, they are a bit loud and i do run them on high 24/7, but i have already checked the filters and i can already see the dust and cat hair they are sucking in. not to mention the great price and the flex pay.i had an oreck and i will never go there again. i would have given them 5 stars but like i said, they are a bit loud.

Since I have a smoking husband, 5 cats and 2 dogs I need an air purifier in each room. I am purchasing different brands to see which one is the best for me. I thought this was a very good bargain. If you look around for air purifiers some of them are very expensive. I am delighted with the look of these air purifiers but they are not as quiet as I thought. I am giving them a chance and I think they are good. I have already tried the Towers, Edenpure, Oreck and Prozone.

big air quality difference / , AZ   7/28/2008
I purchased 2 sets & after the 1st night, my husband woke up without his usual "stuffy sinus headache". While they aren't "whisper" quiet, on low and medium they aren't bad. I have tried many others and I am very satisfied with these, especially with the price. Plus, at night, we need "white noise" to sleep, so the larger one on high creates the perfect sound. Thank you!!!

I have two small dogs...I placed the larger unit in their room and a smaller unit in the kitchen, so far I have noticed a difference in the dogs room not smelling as it did before. The kitchen unit - I havent cooked anything strong yet but still like that it circulates the air in that room.

The air comes out of mine smelling great! The smaller units are very quiet if you have them on low or medium but I wouldn't describe the high setting as whisper...sounds more like a ac unit on low. The larger unit is a little louder than the smaller units, which I assume is due to the larger fan inside. Also, if you go on Hunter's website and order replacement filters, they are usually cheaper than filling out the replacement cards.

I purchased these because my boys (one man, one feline) snore and have sinus trouble. I'm not hearing snoring, although the "whisper quiet" may be drowning them out. They are sort of loud and I have trouble sleeping when they are on. Also, I am not sure if they are really cleaning my air or simply consuming electricity. I do enjoy how they circulate the air though. Just not sure how energy efficient they are. I'll give them a few more days but I saved the packaging...just in case.

I rec'd this yesterday and was excited to try it. But while they describe it as whisper quiet - it is really loud. Can't hear the tv loud. Don't know if mine is defective and am curious to see other reviews. Will return but hate to see what the shipping charge is.

Don't but these. They make the air smell bad from the cheap plastic there made from. I cannot get the odors they put out to go away. They are LOUD and need to be shut off at night. LOUD on Low. Too expensive to ship back, hope someday the odors go away. You get what you pay for.
