This item has a handle that stows away. It really did a wonderful job of getting the dirt out of my ivory room size rug. I was impressed with the power and ease of the Hoover PowerMax Fusion Vacuum Cleaner. Good buy.

Great Vacuum - But they don't last! / troublesdad1, OK   9/28/2009
These are GREAT vacuum's, but they don't last! I just purchased my 4th Hoover PowerMax Fusion... the longest that I've had one of these vacuum's last is about 18 months. In general they are GREAT if you have pets. I've tried other brands and there is no comparison. While my latest vacuum was under warranty... it was taken into the local repair shop 3 times during the first 12 months. There is a roller part under the vacuum that breaks. This has happened on every one of these vacuum's that I have purchased. Unfortunately after trying various other brands... nothing compares... I opted NOT to purchase the "extended" warranty through HSN... with the cost of shipping, downtime without the vacuum... it's worth it to purchase a new one. Fortunately if they break during the 12 month warranty there are local repair shops in most major cities that repair them. If you have pets look no further! BEST vacuum for pets!

HORRIBLE VACUUM CLEANER!!!! / tiffany21, PA   9/27/2009
I purchased this vacuum cleaner thinking it would be as amazing as they said it was on HSN. This vacuum is soooo top heavy! When you use the extension pieces it topples over! It has fallen on the back of my heel and my toddler many times! It is horrible on hardwood/tile floors (even on the lowest setting) and it just spits everything it picks up right back out. I can't stand this vacuum and I am very upset I threw away the return box and stickers because I thought it was actually a good vacumm. I guess I was wrong!

I was so excited to receive this product. Unfortunately it didn't perform as expected. It works great on carpet but lousy on hard floors. The bin fills up very quickly. My house is more tile than carpet and it just wasn't going to work, so back it went.

This is to peachy24. My Hoover did the same thing. It kinda went off out of nowhere. The connection is in the handle area in the back of the cleaner. All you have to do is open with a screwdriver and put one drop of a good glue like gorilla glue and connect it. It will stay and you will no longer have that problem. I hope you haven't thrown it out already. My only complaint is that I didn't get the pet hair tool, The upholstery tool.

NO BAGS BUT 2 HIDDEN FILTERS! / gobucks10, OH   9/25/2009
THIS IS THE FIRST BAGLESS VACUUM THAT I HAVE OWNED AND IT SEEMS TO PICK UP FAIRLY WELL...HOWEVER, I RECENTLY DISCOVERED TWO UNKNOWN FILTERS THAT HAVE TO BE REPLACED PERIODICALLY OR IT WILL NOT PERFORM AS WELL AS IT SHOULD (WHICH I DONT RECALL SEEING IN THE PRESENTATION). SINCE I DIDNT PURCHASE IT IN A LOCAL STORE, THESE FILTERS HAVE TO BE PURCHASED THROUGH HOOVER AND I NOW HAVE TO WAIT FOR THEM TO COME (AS WELL AS THE BELTS). I WOULD LIKE TO SEE HSN MAKE THESE ITEMS AVAILABLE FOR THE CUSTOMERS.

3 dogs, and no fur so I'm happy! / MIA30729, MI   9/13/2009
We have 3 dogs in the home with us , so a good vaccume is essential, and I found this to be a good vaccume. Pro's,....good suction, large canister ( and mine did not leak ) easy to manuver, nice attachments. Con's...heavy, flimsy handle for such a heavy machine. woud not be good for a home with alot of stairs due to weight. All in all, an Ok product.

Hoover--Shame on You! I just wasted $119.00. / LLLighthouse, UT   9/13/2009
I have never written a product review before, but feel it is very necessary to do so about the Hoover® PowerMax Fusion Vacuum Cleaner. What a disappointment. Only very small amounts of dust/dirt vacuumed up actually stayed inside the canister. Because of the excessive leakage, my house smelled very dusty during and after vacuuming. Once you install the handle, you cannot remove it. Threfore, the vacuum is about 6 inches too long to fit back into the box for returning to HSN. In trying to unassemble the handle so the vacuum would fit back into the original box in which it was shipped, I broke a piece of the plastic off and still didn't get the handle off. I don't feel right about returning this item to HSN after I inadvertently broke it. It is now in the trash and I'm out $119.00. Wish I had taken the advice of those who reviewed this product and said don't buy it rather than listening to those who said they were happy with it. BEWARE...

This is a good machine but it is made out of alot of plastic and it is easy to break. I put the thing together and put the handle on and the plastic clip that holds it broke so now I have a hose clamp to keep it from going down into the handle tube. It is a graet vacuum for the money. I have three other Hoover floor cleaning machines.

I was really disappointed with this vacuum, I too was very excited that I am receiving a product with the name "Hoover", this vac is not cost or Mom friendly. It stopped working same day I used it. The vacuum is very heavy and hard to carry especially a small person like myself. I don't recommend this product to anyone looking for a quality product and a good price. HSN should check into this and have the manufacturer revise their claim regarding the description of the product. Terrible, Terrible product.....
