Love these boxes
/ JackieJ, MI

I have dozens of these boxes and give them as house warming gifts to all my nieces and nephews when they move into their own places as well as gifts to many others also. I learned early that paper towel is needed with most fruits and veges to absorb the condensation that builds up on the lids, but with that, my produce lasts for weeks. I rarely have to throw away because I couldn't get them eaten quickly enough. Thank you Debbie Meyer.

I am sooo confused on the people who say that these boxes dont work???? They work very very well! I have had BLUEBERRY'S keep for a month!! I buy them in bulk since I can store them so long and since they cost a lot. Bread weeks?? YES Salad weeks?? YES GRAPES more then a month! This is all true. People must not be burping them like you use to have to do with tupperware to get the extra air out. Yes sometimes the lids get moist you just wipe it off and your good to go. BUY them they really work! this will be my 3rd set. Love the product.
NOT AS GOOD AS ADVERTISED

These GreenBoxes take the moisture out of carrots and make them dry and brittle. You have to keep checking the boxes when you put bananas, potatoes, or anything like that in them to wipe up the moisture that collects inside the box. I don't think they are worth the money or time wasted checking them.

I bought these when they were first aired on HSN,The 2 large ones for bread didn't work for me,my rye bread went moldy after only 4 days,my husband said he doesn't like the way the white bread smells and feels wet/moist after being stored in the green box. So I will use the large ones for fruit and veggies.,I am not sure if I am sold on these boxes..the grapes we stored in one, well many went bad while in the box after only a week.I will keep them ,not going to bother going through the trouble of returning them. Most of the tops did not stay on these containers and the ones that did the food did not last any longer than if they were in another container.

LOVE THAT U CAN SEE WHATS IN THEM. I PUT IN CLEAN N DRY VEGGIES, FRUIT, N LAYER A FEW PAPER TOWELS ON THE BOTTOM. LOOK FOR WATER ON LID, WIPE OFF IF U NEED. WRAP BREAD ALL THE WAY AROUND AND PUT A SMALL PIECE OF BREAD N AN APPLE SLICE IN THE CORNER NOT TO TOUCH ACTUAL BREAD, ABSORBS LIQUIDS. CAN DO THE SAME W ANYTHING. IN LRG CONTAINERS, A COUPLE OF BAY LEAF KEEPS FLOUR FRESH FROM BUGGIES NO FLAVOR LEFT BEHIND. SUGAR COFFEE AND FLOUR R GREAT IN FRIDGE. HOPE MY LIL TRICKS HELP U. LASTS LONGER!

I really like the set, BUT I've had several pieces break by the handle, and I'm not sure how or why. No one in my family gets rough with it or any unusual wear and tear.
Great Great Product

I have several sets. All are used very often. The large bread container is the greatest to keep bread fresh for weeks. I make my own bread and it molds faster than store bought bread. My husband recently made a comment on how fresh the rolls were after two weeks.

I bought this set to basically keep my refrigerator organized - so I could see and keep my greens fresh - fresh produce should not be kept for weeks hence "fresh" produce. The problem is that the tops on these containers loose their tightness and no longer seal after a few uses. This happened to one - and my fear is that after the 30 day money guarantee they would all loose the sealing element and then I am stuck with useless containers. They are going back - actually they are gone already. |
