I don't understand why others have problems with this product. I run a Bed & Breakfast and these containers save me so much money. Fruits and vegetables keep twice as long as usual, and I am very happy with the product. This is my second order and I recommend them to everyone.

I tried the green boxes and the green bags that came with them with fruit, grains, cereal and baked goods. The fruit (patted dry as instructed) went bad within 4 days. In the green bags that came with the boxes, bananas were so soft they squeezed out like toothpaste on the third day. The dry grains and cereals stay good about as long as any other plastic storage. Baked goods last well in the refrigerator, but not on the counter. All in all, I won't buy any more. Regular off-the-shelf cheap plastic storage boxes do just as well. Lots more hype than performance!

i HAVE NEVER BEEN MORE CONFUSED. HOW CAN THERE BE SO MANY PROS & CONS. I THOUGHT HSN MADE SURE ITEMS WORKED BEFORE SELLLING. NOW I DON'T KNOW WHETHER TO USE THEM AS GREEN BOXES OR TUPPERWARE STORAGE. I DON'T WANT TO WASTE MONEY ON FOOD. TELL ME WHICH PIECES WORK AND WHICH ONES SHOULD BE FOR LEFTOVERS. THANKS HSN FOR SELLING A PRODUCT THAT IS SO QUESTIONABLE. I WONDER IF TESTING IS REALLY DONE.

Lid cracked and can't get a replacement / Diana191, OH   9/24/2009
While I bought these due to quality of the product and not necessarily to keep fruits and vegetables for more than 2 weeks, one of the lids cracked and I am unable to get a replacement. This does not make sense and while I'm under the 30 days, it's not worth the postage to send back and reorder. Her competitor's boxes (as seen on tv) are 1/2 the cost and you can get replacements which is where I will order my next set. .

I have used most all the green products by Debbie Meyers and believe they are wonderful. I am about to order another set of the green containers. I don,t know what the other people did wrong but it keeps my vegetables alot longer and I have time to use them before they go bad.

I've been using GreenBags since before Debbie came to HSN. I can't believe how long my broccoli stays fresh. They boxes work just as well. I don't know why some people have had poor results...perhaps they don't make sure their produce is dry before placing it in the bag or box. I do. I also remove built-up condensation. These products are made of the same material that growers in the San Joaquin Valley use on their grape vineyards. I doubt they would be using the material if it were not beneficial. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the boxes did not seal tightly. I've now ordered the new up-graded set which I'm sure will perform as well or better than the old boxes. As for the bags, they've been a God-send.

These do not work as promised, I was so exicited about these. I used them with several different food items, they don't work. Unless there is some secret that I don't know about.....

As many others have stated, I wish i had read the reviews before purchasing. First I tried the bags with very limited success. I had hoped that they would work for bread (which went moldy within two days, so back to storing bread in the fridge) and for bananas (which seem to go bad FASTER and taste weird) Gave up on the bags, have thrown most of them away since they were difficult to clean. Then I tried the boxes, thinking they would work better and be easier to clean. Well, at least they are easier to clean, but are no better than Glad or Ziplok boxes found in any store at a fraction of the price. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY like I did. Over $100 spent on this garbage that makes garbage!! Shame on HSN for continuing to endorse this product.

I bought 2 set of these boxes and it was a waste of money. As several of the reviews have stated several items do not stay longer. One thing I found interesting is that like one of the other reviews, you have to put a papertowel in the boxes in order for the food to stay longer. I wen on vacation and my husband did not know that he had to switch the papertowels and I had to pitch a lot of veggies when I got back. A lot of work for a product that cost so much. I saw other green boxes on tv for half the price and 20 pc. set. I don't have time to babysit containers. I was so disappointed.
