just bought a second set. i use them right after returning from the grocery store, vegetables stays fresh all week. the secret is being sure the product is dry before putting it in. just put a paper towel at the bottom. i always wipe the lid dry when i open them to take something out. now, i can use all food with no waste! a loaf of bread lasts 3 weeks. i'm really saving money!
DID NOT LIKE AT ALL

DID NOT LIKE, BANANAS SMELLED BAD AFTER 3 DAYS AND GOT REAL RIPE. THE LETTUCE TURNED BROWN AFTER 3 DAYS.
A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT

These bowls are not any better than any other bowl. I was disappointed to see the poor results in these bowls, as I had expected to save lots of money on fruits and produce with them. I placed fresh bananas, tomatoes, cilantro and bread in separate bowls. Everything had mold in it after only 2 days, even with following the instructions for controlling moisture. It has been a disappointing waste of time and money. These bowls are a complete rip-off. I would not recommend these to anyone.

I was not happy with this product. Did not see any difference than regular containers.

I needed to replace my old tupperware and thought I'd give this a shot. It works fine but I don't see any special value to it. I find I have to wipe out the moisture a bit often, but no special value in keeping produce any longer than any other product. It serves my needs just fine.
Finally have a container for SomerSweet!

The smallest container is the only container that will keep Suzanne’s sweetener without getting hard/clumpy. Only problem is the small GreenBox is hard to open, so besides improving the lids, my suggestion would be to make a container for all sweeteners. I would also like to see Greenboxes for Meats & Cheeses. Money is very tight for this single, 55-year-old since I was laid off and cannot afford any food to spoil. Thanks for helping me with this Debbie! Bobbi - Southern California

I was surprised to see negative reviews on these boxes. I love them for fruits and vegtables. I have had carrots, celery, oranges, tomatoes, onions and apples last much longer then if they were in by vegtable bins. I haven't used them yet for baked goods. I just wish they cost less then I would buy more!
Great for produce!

These boxes are great for produce, just put a paper towel in the bottom for moisture and they keep very well, for baked products however i was very dissappointed, bread went bad faster then if i had kept it in the bag, but for produce they are great i can keep lettuce and stuff alot longer, the paper towel in the bottom keeps me from having to wipe the moisture out every few days, just change it out when it gets wet.
Perfect for Produce!

I have had these for almost a month and they have been great! I only use them for produce in the refrigerator since I freeze all my breads and baked goods. I grocery shop every week to 10 days and hated having to throw out rotten produce. Since I've used these that has not happened. Yes, you do need to wipe out the moisture but I just do that when I open the green box to get some food out, it's not a chore! Also great for keeping your fridge organized. I have to get a second set!! |
