This machine does not clean. I find it hard to believe that the people who wrote glowing reviews really used the machine. The water that the machine puts out returns into the canister as clean as it went out. And neither does it dry as fast as it states. Unfortunately I kept my machine for way too long, after I realized it didn't work. Now I'll have to take the machine to a dealer to test if the machine is broken, and if he finds a manufacturer defect, I'll get another brand new junk.

I am disheartened that upon review of this item by most of the purchasers, HSN continues to sell this product. I wasted my time and money!!! It is a lot of hard work for a woman my age and you have to use the small cleaning brush to get the decent cleaning which takes a very long time and hard on the back. I will never buy a Bissell product again. I am only sorry that I missed by time to return it. Austin, Texas

This ISN'T a deep cleaner. It's perfect for cleaning the top layers of the carpet after vacuuming and maintaining the carpet fresh more often. It doesn't ruin the carpet fibers and wear down the carpet, like a deep cleaner can do when used often. I think it's only 6 amps. I plan on using a deep cleaner only twice a year, so as not to wear out the carpet, but the PROdry weekly. It's true what others have said about the handle - I got lucky and installed it with a good fit the 1st time - just make sure the screws don't go in croocked and screw it in gently, but with pressure.

This was the worst carpet shampooer I have ever owned. The video showed a very good carpert cleaner, and that was false advertisement. The machine does not clean the carpet but does an o.k. job on the furniture. I did not think I was buying a machine that I had to shampoo the carpets on my hands and knees with the attachment. But alas, that is the only way this cleaner will work. Very dissatisfied with this but to much hassle to box up and drag to post office, will just throw in trash and buy a different machine.

I have had it for a few months in hopes to clean my carpet ......doesn't work at all. Gets your carpet wet and it dries quickly ....that's about it! It is currently collecting dust in my garage! Waste of money! Do not purchase! Worst product that I have ever purchased from HSN!

I found that the cleaner works just okay on bare floor rugs; dries quickly like it says, but water is only barely dirty (is definitely not deep cleaner, but not advertised as such). It's good to quickly freshen rugs that my dog has rolled toys all over. The hand-held tool is great, however. I cleaned all the mats from my minivan which had not been done in 6 years. They took longer to dry, but looked brand new and the water was FILTHY. Machine does leak, somewhat, however, but I love it for hand cleaning.

What a piece of junk the demonstration they do on the show is not true to how this thing works.There is absolutey nothing to actually clean the carpet on this thing.The big silly roller does nothing but roll over the carpet. Shame on hsn and bissell. I would not recommend this "cleaner"to anyone.Again shame on you hsn and bissell.

THIS IS THE WORST SHAMPOOER I HAVE EVER USED. IF YOUR CARPET DOESN'T GET VERY DIRTY, IT MAY WORK FOR YOU, BUT IF YOUR CARPET HAS HIGH TRAFFICE AREAS OR YOU HAVE SMALL CHILDREN THAT MAKE MESSES, THEN THIS IS NOT FOR YOU. IT'S CLAIMS ARE BOGUS, AND I WAS VERY VERY VERY DISSAPOINTED. I HATE TO RETURN THINGS, BUT I AM RETURNING THIS.

This appears to be quite an impressive unit when you take it out of the box, but..it's all show and no go. Steam cleaned the entire house but I was amazed to see that the water was on slightly dirty when dumped, and that is due to the fact that there isn't a cleaning/scrubbing brush on this unit. I went back over a couple area with the hand held unit, but my arms got really tired. This unit only moderately cleans carpets at best.
