(see full review)closet then giving it away because I couldn't make a single chord. This Randy Jackson guitar is different. The action is so easy that I'm really making all kinds of chords and really making progress. Of course, YouTube videos help a lot too--I didn't have those before. The DVDs that come with it don't teach very much, but they might be helpful if you've never touched a guitar before to get you started because they tell you how to tune the guitar and use the amp. But there's a bazillion free guitar lessons on YouTube, so don't worry about that. The amp that comes with the guitar seems pretty decent, and I like the built-in tuner on the guitar and the record function. It does help to record yourself when you're practicing to play back to hear how you really sound. I'm not crazy about the sparkles on the

Some of the keys didn't work as well as the others. Construction overall is sturdy. I'm not returning it since it is for my 18 month old grandson who's going to beat on it anyway ... (see full review).
