Nate's Notebook
I have this vintage French bright blue leather notebook that I pretty much never travel without. It's been left on planes; it's been returned to me by more than one super sweet flight attendant, and yet it's still around. Losing it would be a major problem.

Inside I keep photographs of my family, friends and those closest to me, as well as letters, cool fashion show invitations, anything meaningful.... And, most importantly, the notebook is filled with imagery of things that inspired this line. Tucked inside you'll find the hem of a dress that became the detail on one of the shams in my Ocean Club collection, a snapshot of a shell that literally became the pattern of a pillow, bits of fabric, my notes, vacation photos, anything torn out of travel, art, fashion or design magazines....I keep it here, all together, because when it's time to create something completely fresh, and completely new, I lay them out and use them as inspiration. They help me think of new ways to create, new combinations, new translations... It's my favorite part of my job.

I can't wait to hear your reactions to this collection. It's something my team and I are really proud of. I hope you don't feel I'm trying to tell you how to live or what to live with; instead I want to bring all of my favorite picks together for you to choose from. Beautiful things. Layered. response from Nate's premiere visit….

Well I can't thank everyone enough for your incredible support of my launch on HSN....I am truly so appreciative and so happy that so many of you will be sleeping on my sheets!! It was great for me to have the chance to talk to you when you called into the show. And, I've fallen hard for the amazing hosts on HSN!

I returned to Chicago, so tired after being awake all night, went to my office and picked out things for a makeover that I'm working on, met with everyone at my design firm, and then flew home to play with Henry and Emma....my two mutts who barked at the TV while I was on HSN.

I'm coming back in November and can't wait to see everyone again...until then I will keep designing. Let me know what you think of everything you bought - I would love to hear from you!!!

I'm a huge Nate fan. Your design aesthetic is fantastic and you're a delicious love. Your HSN products, however, are very disappointing. The design is great, the quality is awful. I really enjoyed the on-camera presentations and everything sounded so great. I bought tons of towels, sheets, and other items from the HSN collection and the quality of everything is sorely lacking.

Nate- I recieved the mango wood Sunburst Mirror the other day. This piece is truly a room changer. It was the perfect compliment to finish my room. This new addition is now my favorite piece of art. Thank you for making my house, a home.

I'm very busy with 4 kids and a whole house remodel and addition.We are GC. We have come very far. Lots to go. We broke ground in Nov.08 and now it is the last day of April and I just want to finish my home and move back in. We have never done this before and have made mistakes which cost money and time. My husband is not working.The house had to be done, it was dangerous. Drywall is almost done and I'm just so stressed of more mistakes This has been a long awaited dream. I need help with ideas

Nate, We LOVE our Maharani comforter.However, it was ruined at the cleaners because the care instructions were not followed.We have looked all over the web for another(since we just spent several hundred dollars decorating our room around it), but have been unsuccessful in finding it thus far.Our Linens N Things store closed and we are SO upset that we can't find it! PLEASE HELP!To add a cherry,it was a wedding gift from my grandma!

Dear Nate, I am looking to redecorate my 11 year old daughters room in a Morroccan theme, she loves all the bright colors and fabrics and I am lost. I do not know where to begin! I despirately need some suggestions. I remarried almost 2 years ago. My son (13) is now having to share a room with my step son (15). We initially thought bunkbeds were the answer to the small room (double mattresses). This is not the case in that now neither wants to sleep on the top bunk. There is no room to seperate the beds so we have just taken the one mattress and put it on the floor but there is now no room to move around. I'm feeling like a bad mom. Do you have any ideas?

Dear Nate,I am asking for help to do a dream makeover for my husbands workshop (shed 15x30)We bought this home when my husband retired,move in permanetly 8/08 - we just found out in Sept my husband has renial cell carsenoma,11 tumors in his brain and nodes in his chest.they tell me he doesn't have long to live any my wish is for him to have a workshop he would be proud of - he has not been able to do much since he has been sick,If you don't mind I am asking for some help if you have the time.

Hi Nate, I was so excited when I saw you on HSN! I could relate to you when you talk about going to flea markets looking for that find. Love that layering, mixing and creating my own style, your collection fits in perfectly! I have to say I am crazy about that ivory gold band pillow, I left the first review because I wanted you to get feedback on that gorgeous pillow! Loved the patmos duvet and camp blanket too! Hi Nate,thrilled to find you at HSN.I love your ideas and advice even when I've seen rooms that aren't exactly my style. I've yet to come across one transformation that I haven't enjoyed.I appreciated your advice on starting with solids and/or neutrals and changing things up with a quick flip of a new pillow, throw etc...I'd LOVE to see your products displayed in a finished setting. Is there a way you could do that but still show the versatility of color changes etc...?Thanks!

Nate, your sheet set was a big disappointment. It was overpriced for what it was and certainly didn't feel like a 600 thread count sheet. The pillowcases and top sheet were very skimpy and made one feel it was done to cut costs and not provide the best quality for the customer. I'm sure in your own design work you exhibit great quality control and attention to detail. Please exercise that attention to your HSN products

FANTASTIC SHEETS...I have the king size and they are so nice and easy to put on the bed unlike so many other king size sheets. You are absolutely right, they are so nice and warm not one cold area in the bed. My two pugs really like them too.

I love your products you are such an inspiration. I have purchased your black/camel chairs along with several other items. I am confused because the pattern on the web (I saw the video and zoomed in on the pictures) is completely different than the pattern I received. I am trying to get an answer from HSN but it is difficult. I want the original pattern you have on the site. I assume there is a reason you changed it? I am forever grateful for your willingness to share and make decorating fun.

Hey Nate, why are the rear legs of the slipper chair at a slant when installed? Shouldn't they be straight like the front legs since all legs are the same? I put my slipper chair back close to the wall instead of out in the room as I would have prefered in an attempt to hide the fact that the rear chair legs are not straight and look defective to me. Should I return the chair, or were the legs meant to be that way?

Help Nate: I painted a room that was burgundy red a light sage green and now it looks so dull....I have ordered some coral sheets and I want to do the room in browns, taupe, tans and coral colors...I need some color put back...it was such a shock when I saw it...Please give me some suggestions to use....Do you have a patterned bedspread, curtains, I do not like to use dust ruffles because I have a little male dog and he likes them too....what do you have in your lovely line that I can order..

Nate I love you!!!! You are so amazing! Just watched the premiere of your show that I recorded and it was the best. I'm ording the pillow cases to see how they are, like there's a chance I won't like them! Don't think so. I have a king size tempepedic adjustable bed. They take twin XL sheets. Most places don't have them and not much of a choice. What are the chances you can make them? Even if you can find them on TV they come in set and standard pillow case don't work. Congratulations!

Dear Nate, I agree with the lady that made comments about twin-beds. The twin beds that are adjustable need to be x-long type. So, please bring x-long twin sheets for this type of bed. Illness is the reason we sleep on this type of bed.I order two sets of our king-Size sheets for when we have guest that now sleep in our Master-Bedroom. Nate, I love all of your creations. I used to buy your sheets, etc. at Linens and Things I especially loved your home fragrance sets and constantly bought the Lindenwood. I was so unhappy when you discontinued it. I have since scoured the internet searching for it. I would pay double what it was. It was my home scent. Please is there any chance of finding it anywhere?

Once again I am very disappointed at not being able to find your bed sheet sets in a twin size. What's with all the companies and designers not producing beautiful sheets with a high thread count for the adults who still have twin size beds. My husband and I have these beds together in a king frame,and this is because when we originally purchased them that was all we could get in a bed that the foot and head went up and down. I am so tired of buying sheets that feel like old sandpaper.

I am looking forward to your collection tonight. I purchased your towels in sage green two years ago for the master bath. The quality, texture, and absorbancy were excellent; so I purchased them in dark blue for the upstairs bath. When my son came home from college, I had a hard time keeping him from taking them to the gym. He said they felt so good on his body that he did not want to take the ones we normally use for the gym. Now I have trouble keeping him from taking them off to college.
